    Am I the only one here who thinks all madden isn't hard enough? I am able to consistently hang 40-50 plus on all madden teams with eh qbs - think kyler Murray and jameis Winston. I agree that it's a little broken with corners and linebackers jumping routes like they can read minds, but it doesn't usually hold me back. The key for me: 1) balanced play calling, so the cpu doesn't just expect the pass every time. 2) limited plays that I call. 90% of my runs are single back formation hb dive and any run play called inside zone. 90% of the passes I throw are slants and fades. A 1 on 1 press coverage with no safety help is an almost automatic td. If a pass play isn't one of those two it's a play action off the run game. 3) staying disciplined is the toughest part. You can get up by a bunch and start getting cocky, flinging the ball around, which leads to picks and a comeback. Also turning on conservative ball carrier in coaching adjustments limits fumbles a lot.

    I know nothing is going to change this madden but I want to express how overpowered DBs are in madden. Time and time again a WR will break on his route and absolutely torch the DB only for the DB to fucking turn into the fastest man alive and pick off the WR who had leverage by a mile. I don't mean those situations where the DB is sitting back in coverage and makes a break on the ball, I mean in man coverage when the DB gets toasted on a dig or a post but somehow catches back up and picks it. Most of the time it's not even contested. The WR either slows down after the break of the DB fuckin teleports. There's no reason that should ever be intercepted. I don't understand why that relation is in the game. If the WR his inside leverage and is running away from the DB, hes open. It's fucking unbelievable to watch it happen and even more frustrating just because how obviously scripted it is.

    Need help from an oldschooler re: Madden '99 PC

    Back in the day, late 90's, the PC community had first started organizing leagues and ran like the first nationwide online tournament. I don't think consoles were playing online yet. It was a tournament using Madden '98. The developer, Tiburon, as a nod to us who played in the tournament, made a special team that was playable in Madden '99. I believe it was the Maitland Tiburon team. Edit: It was actually a team called The Bandits. I screwed that up which probably led to all the confusion.

    Fast forward 21 years later. After a few too many drinks at Poker night somehow Madden came up and I mentioned this story and I was one of those players they put in Madden '99. Well now one of the other dudes at the poker game is claiming he contacted someone who has a copy blah blah blah and that I'm not in it.

    Well, obviously I know this is BS because I've played the game with me in it but now I'm in the pain in the arse position of having to clear my name. Complicating things is that we are overseas. I remember an article at a website called, I think, Operation Sports that had a write up and some pics about it. Is that still on the net somewhere?

    My question basically is.... Is there a database online somewhere or a playable version online. It has to be the PC version, the team was only in that one. Anyone else here remember that tourney and being in Madden '99 or was a part of it? Any other ideas how I can clear this up. I've found a few physical copies to buy and I'll eventually get it shipped if that's my last option, but wondering if there is anyway to clear this up because overseas shipping is a PIA. Thanks for any help you can give, or even if you're just an old timer from that tournament that wants to talk about it.

    Edit: Yes I know there is a site called Operation Sports but I don't think it is the same one. I don't see the article there. It might have been a slightly different name, I'm foggy on it.
