#FixDeshaunWatson - Give him proper representation, give him an X-Factor

The worst part about their evaluation of Watson is that the adjustors acknowledge he's elite and special when he's in the zone, but since his overall accuracy stats are roughly average in their data analysis it leads to his OVR suffering.

The biggest problem with this isn't his low OVR (86), if they were to rate him solely based on this logic. The problem is they've not given him proper representation in Madden when Watson is in the zone (which is consistently in clutch situations / 4th QTRs) where he performs at what would be considered a 95+ OVR player.

The solution is incredibly simple, an X Factor that activates in the situations where his real-life self elevates his play. Watson's 86 OVR becomes far more feasible and reasonable if this ability is given to him, not to mention realistic.

Since his rookie year he has proven this is a consistent nature of his play. Deshaun Watson is a textbook "X-Factor" player.

Some small things I would like in franchise

    Posted: 16 Jul 2020 05:08 PM PDT

For starters the ability to pick our players superstar abilities. Nothing is more frustrating than having to retire my coach and take control of a player to change their abilities. The most annoying thing about the game for me. Another thing is the ability to change how we carry the ball. For example LeSean McCoy Mike Vick and Walter Payton palm the ball when they run. Kyler Murray Baker Mayfield and Melvin Gordon have a lower tuck type carry and then there's the standard carry animation I hope they give us the ability to change how our player carries the ball another thing that won't get added but I would love it is different Qb stances one thing about madden 15-18 I liked was the stances they made your character feel more unique. When my Qb comes up and does the same animations as my kicker it just takes away from the immersion. TL;DR Bring back Qb stances allow us to Pick Abilities and change Ball Carrying styles

Is Coach of the Year glitched if you are in the Super Bowl?

When will you or will you net be getting Madden 21

    Posted: 16 Jul 2020 05:47 PM PDT

I for one will be pre ordering it just because of how much I love the NFL and this is the game I have to play. I also do not dislike the game as much as others. Yes it has its negatives but I enjoy it every year

Overhauling Madden: Positions & How to Improve Them for CFM

    Posted: 16 Jul 2020 08:00 AM PDT

I made a previous post about overhauling stats, progressions, and the QB position for CFM previously, this is a sequel post. Check out the first and second post by clicking the links if you want to follow the train of thought.

With Madden CFM, one of the most annoying moments is when we see a player like Von Miller or Khalil Mack hit free agency and join a team, but are used as off-ball OLB. It becomes so stupid I feel like the game voids being a proper football simulation at times. Currently, on offense and defense these are the listed Madden positions:

    • Offensive Positions:
      • QB, HB, FB, WR, TE, LT/RT, LG/RG, C,
    • Defensive Positions:
      • MLB, OLB, DT, LE/RE, SS, FS, CB
    • ST and Specialists:
      • Kickers, Punters, Slot CB, Sub LB, Rush LE/RE, KR, PR, Rush DT, Slot WR, 3rd Down RB, and Power RB

The modern NFL world doesn't follow such rigid position listings outside of QB, with versatility becoming the most desired trait for any team. Instead I would think a better solution would be position families with player position preferences. This would look like the following:

    • Offense Families:
      • QB, RB, WR, TE, OT, IOL
    • Defense Families:
      • LB, EDGE, DL, DB
    • Special Teams:
      • Kickers and Punters

Focusing on Offense first, each position family would be comprised of the following (besides QB):

    • RB: Halfbacks, Fullbacks, Slot WR
    • WR: Slot WR, X WR, Z WR
    • TE: Blocking, Y WR
    • OT: LT, RT, LG, RG
    • IOL: LG, RG, Center

Focusing on Defense, each position group would be composed of the following:

    • LB: 4-3 SAM, WILL, MIKE or 3-4 ILB, OLB
    • EDGE: 3-4 OLB or 4-3 DE
    • DL: 4-3 DT, DE or 3-4 NT, DT
    • DB: SS, FS, CB, LB

I think this will make an important difference in CFM player scouting'drafting , depth chart assignment, development, and free agency targets. There is some overlap but that's intentional due to the player flexibility we see in the real NFL. We constantly see OT become OG (Jason Peters, Erik Flowers) or drafted DBs excel at both CB and SS or both Safety positions flawlessly. When a player like Von Miller hits free agency in Madden with this format, his demands will be comparable to other EDGE rushers, as contracts would be based upon the player's position family first and then positional preferences.

This helps with scouting, drafting, and free agency as well because you or a CPU may evaluate two OT prospects with the following:

    • Prospect A: 72 OVR
      • Positional preference: LT
      • Secondary positional preference: LG
    • Prospect B: 76 OVR
      • Positional preference: LT
      • Secondary positional preference: RT

While prospect B may have the higher OVR, you may value the positional flexibility of prospect A more for your team needs. It may turn out the prospect, like Brandon Sherff in real life, is a great OT in college but a probowl OG in the NFL level. On the other hand, it may be helpful to pick an OT with the capabilities to effectively play OG in case of injury or a need to move them inside for career longevity. Likewise, you might have a DB prospect with the following:

    • Prospect A: 80 OVR
      • Positional preferences: Strong Safety
      • Secondary positional preference: Linebacker
    • Prospect B: 78 OVR
      • Positional preferences: Strong Safety
      • Secondary positional preference: Cornerback

You may draft prospect B instead of prospect A because your team needs a nickelback to help the pass defense more than an enforcer to help the rush defense. Overall, I think the applications for a more strategic approach to team building are direct. Let me know if you'd want me to add-on to how I'd overhaul aspects of CFM...next one will likely focus on a coaching carousel and team benefits based upon coaching staff. Maybe if I write enough of these I can polish them into a pitch to EA? Who knows.

    Thoughts?

If I buy madden 21 on PS4 will my franchise/mut stuff be saved to my PSN account allowing me to only have to buy the game again on ps5 without starting from scratch? Or will all progress I make on PS4 be lost? Thanks everyone!

Has the "3 yrs and done" glitch been fixed yet?

    Posted: 17 Jul 2020 12:51 AM PDT

A couple friends and I did three separate CFM online on Madden 20 last year. All three times, at least two of us got the glitch. Had to retire our character and start afresh. We quit after going thru 9 seasons worth always having to reboot. I am just wondering if this is fixed or has a workaround.

    On Xbox One for clarification.
