So I finished Face of The Franchise. Can I take a minute to talk about Tommy Matthews?

    Posted: 22 Sep 2020 07:40 AM PDT

So I don't want this to be too long, if you haven't played I'd suggest watching someone do it, over playing it yourself. Its really, really bad. Honestly, this story line is not only one of the worst sports stories ( basing off on EA and 2K.) but probably one of the worst story campaigns in gaming history, at least from personal experience. Tommy Matthews wants to act like he's this big tough quarterback (while his real life counterpart Tye the actor portraying him is 5'7) Come to find out Tommy has a shitty heart and it gives out during a big high school game, you take over and lead in your Junior year to a title, you repeat your senior year, and you both go to the same college to once again compete for the starting role.

Your Junior year Tommy gets to start in the NCAA championship game, but go figure his heart gives out again. In Junior year of HS and college you take over in the 2nd half, while losing AGAIN. Mind you, in both combined first halves, four total quarters a Tommy led offense is down 19-3. You win, you're excited you promise Tommy you'll be back your Senior year, but then the coach notifies you despite the back to back heart surgeries in just THREE years, coach is gonna put Tommy as the starter.

You go into the draft to play a long melodramatic career, that sees you playing four super bowls, all scripted. The first in your rookie season, the second a few years down the road, the third is best one because after winning your second Super Bowl coach says well, you're gonna be competing for your job against a 75 overall quarterback or a 12 overall kicker, fun fact when you select the kicker, the backup 70 overall quarterback who wasn't an option becomes the starter. I ended up leaving, and joining the cowboys. Which led to a scripted third Superbowl between the cowboys and the team the drafted me, the chargers. We won 70-13. Coach sent me a text saying "Should send LA a thank you letter for letting you walk!" The following season, they're trying to replace me already, even though we JUST won a Super Bowl.

I won my final super bowl and was forced to retire after eight seasons. At 29. When I think of the top quarterbacks in NFL History I like to think of their age when they retired. Aaron Rodgers is still playing at age 36, he'll be 37 this December. Peyton retired at 38, Brady is 43, Farve retired at 41, Aikman at 34, Staubach at 37, Hell even Romo retired at 36 and that motherfucker was getting hit and tossed around like a damn child, but we are forced to retire at age 29, yet we're the GOAT?

Before I discuss the final scene, lets talk about two text messages that confused, and then pissed me off. First from our HS Samoan coach. (Fun fact, I loved this dude from TWD but did you know his name Cooper? I wasn't expecting that.) He said you just gotta keep grinding like Tommy. I was like uhh whats Tommy doing? He ain't here. Then a few weeks later Terminator 2 texts me before my FOURTH Super Bowl, and said "Hey you win and you can finally pass Tommy's legacy." So I can finally pass the legacy of a guy who never played in the NFL, it took four super bowl victories to pass some small, white kid with a heart issue okay....

Then the final cut scene, in all of its anticlimactic glory, even though the game has been out for a month, there is NO audio in that last cut scene. The best part is, you have a golden jacket, with tommy at your high school, and guess what? Apparently you BOTH had an Illustrious career in high school, college, and the NFL. Even though he NEVER played a SINGLE DOWN in the NFL, was never on a single fucking team, he somehow is my equal. Seven titles John Monroe has won, none of them came from that dude leading. I know that's petty but come on, you made a cut scene, so you couldn't have Tommy and I facing off against each other in the NFL? Or have HIM be the one attempting to replace me? I Checked the depth chart after the 4th year, if he was in the NFL he would've been there. I checked QB-Rb-WR. He was nowhere.

This game is literal and utter shit.

    Posted: 22 Sep 2020 03:32 PM PDT

I feel like a complete fucking moronic dumbass for even attempting to try and enjoy this garbage piece of shit that EA dares to call a game. This game is so fucking glitchy, broken, and somehow worse than Madden 20 already was. I tried playing this game offline because my wifi is down, so my console wasn't even connected to the internet and the game just kept on completely freezing at random during the franchise menu, during games, it even fucking froze while I was trying to close the fucking application. I connected it to my mobile hotspot and the freezing stops and then while I'm finally somewhat playing the game peacefully, when I try to attempt a fucking field goal hitting the meter at the perfect spots, the botched kick glitch where the kicker kicks the ball sideways 10 yds fucking happens. Hasn't this game already had like 4 or 5 patches since it released and they still haven't fixed this shitty game-breaking glitch? Or does this glitch only show up in franchise mode so that I can just accept that this shit is never going to get fixed until next year's Madden unless they somehow manage to fuck it up even more. If you haven't bought this game and are considering buying it just don't, trust me, this game is the literal definition of "massive pile of shit". I made the mistake of thinking, "it can't be that bad." Well, I was fucking wrong and now here I am feeling like a total fucking moron for even thinking EA was capable of making an okay football video game. Fuck you, EA. Fuck all of your executives and your developers who shit on and mock the consumers for complaining and asking that you fix the broken down shit that you call a video game.

M21 possibly the worst madden yet?

    Posted: 22 Sep 2020 11:02 PM PDT

M21 might possibly be the worst madden to date... what is going on. This is the first game where I've had to mute the sound track because the music is so awful, the game is glitchy as hell, franchise has been the same exact thing for 10 years. Wtf? Don't waste your money on this pile of shit

EA still thinks the Patriots have Aaron Hernandez and Gronk still on their team, the Patriots playbook hasn't been touched in idk how many years. Nobody wants Izzo and Assai out here running routes like they are WRs. They say they update playbooks but I've yet to see it.

Why is no one talking about how they broke the catching?

    Posted: 22 Sep 2020 07:41 PM PDT

I haven't seen a Single article or video of people talking about how the new update broke open catches. I mean this is literally game breaking. You get punished for being WIDE open... this is huge and EA needs to see this immediately

    Posted: 22 Sep 2020 09:37 PM PDT

This field goal was called no good. Quite possibly the worst game I’ve ever played

Wish I would have visited this sub before purchasing

    Posted: 22 Sep 2020 06:44 PM PDT

I've been a huge madden fan since at least 05. I am so sick of thinking to myself that this year will be different (although I am good at it, considering I am a lions fan.) seriously though. Glitches aside, how does EA put out the same damn game 3 years in a row? The commentary is the same (see: witching hour, 88 and out the gate, running out of the hotel straight into the pool, etc) and it's tiring. In franchise mode, I won a game, and heard something along the lines of "playoff wins are special, but even more so when it is an overtime win." It was the third game of the season, and there was no overtime. I've been bamboozled yet again by madden, and I don't know what's supposed to be "in the game" but I'd imagine it's not supposed to be shit.

Handicapping fast Qbs with fumbles and X factors is the worst way to go

    Posted: 22 Sep 2020 09:20 AM PDT

Seriously not being able to run with Qbs with speed unless they have a certain X factor is just stupid. Why should Qbs be so slow behind the line of scrimmage with full stamina? I drafted a guy with 88 speed and he gets caught by defensive lineman from behind trying to get past the line of scrimmage. Along with Qbs still fumbling all the time. I get trying to balance things but fix the AI and QBs contain and spys.

    X-Factor idea for Russell Wilson

    Posted: 22 Sep 2020 02:24 PM PDT

If you have ever seen Russell Wilson play, one thing that has to stand out is his deep ball. It's a thing of beauty. If someone were asked how russ plays when he's in the zone, they wouldn't say anything about his ability to identify and adjust to blitzers, they'd say his elusiveness in the pocket, or of course, his perfect deep ball. With this I present the X-Factor Dangeruss. This X-factor would make it impossible to throw an interception past 40yds downfield. In order to enter the zone, the quarterback will need to complete 5 +15yd passes total, and to knock them out of the zone, they will either need to get sacked/throw an int (less than 40yds of course)/fumble. This would obviously take some testing to see whether or not it is OP and be buffed/nerfed accordingly, but considering Wilson is a top player in the league, giving him a weak ability like blitz radar is not doing him justice.

    Did QB sliding change?

    Posted: 23 Sep 2020 01:30 AM PDT

Legit had no problem sliding as Russell Wilson until this latest update. Everytime I try to slide now I just dive and fumble, it's complete garbage lol.

Ive tried sprinting, no sprint, holding square and tapping square, and each combo. What's going on?

Madden 21 has its faults but I love making plays like this. Saw a mismatch, threw it in a tight window but great throw allowed it to be a TD.
