What features do you want added to franchise mode for Madden 22?

    Posted: 04 Jun 2021 01:49 PM PDT

For me, I hope we get a true coaching carousel like NCAA 14. Specifically, I hope they have solid logic in there for when teams would fire coaches and who would get hired. Like a coach who has had several great seasons but had one down season wouldn't get fired and an OC for the team with the best offense last season might get a shot at a HC role. Also, I REALLLLLY hope they let us edit coaches. I'm cool with generic coaches due to difficulty securing rights but I really want to be able to edit the coaches manually so I can see real coordinators in the game.

Other than that, there are several other fixes I want in the game:

    • Pro Bowl should include players who are in the super bowl and alternates. It's so annoying that I don't see the pro bowl accolades for my players if I make the super bowl.

    • PLEASE ADD ALL PRO SELECTIONS! All pro is a much more important metric than pro bowl. They have the generic "best QB, RB, etc" but it'd be so much more immersive to see actual all-pro selections each year.

    • On that note... they need to tune the DPOY selections. They put too much value on tackles and INTs and not nearly enough value on sacks. Reuben Foster just won DPOY at 79 OVR over Joey Bosa who got 20.5 sacks.

    • Get rid of the dated position names. Use EDGE, IDL, and LB. It'd make life easier for them too.

    • Simulation tuning!! This one is huge for me. It's so annoying to see that Lamar Jackson has under 500 yards rushing each and every year and CMC having under 500 yards receiving. If a RB is an 85+ receiving back, they should get a lot of targets. Furthermore, they need to tweak it so talented WRs get more targets/yards. It's so annoying seeing Willie Snead, Adam Humphries and every other slot receiver in the game leading the league in yards and receptions instead of dudes like Adams or Julio Jones.

    • There NEEDS to be individualized regression ratings. 2K does this perfectly. Players should have an age where they peak and stop developing as fast and an age where they start to decline. It would add so much! It's so annoying that RBs have the same regression patterns as linemen.

    • This is more gameplay than franchise but either way.. make ratings matter more! I should be able to seriously notice the difference between a 95 OVR CB and an 80 OVR CB.

    • Last and, for me, most importantly, updates to the injury system. Players should have specific injury ratings like NBA 2k and, most importantly, have a wear and tear mechanic. If a player gets a catastrophic injury, it should cause a steep drop in their ratings. Think about Gurley's injury or Cam's shoulder. They were both studs who are now replacement level due to injuries. Or think of dudes like Sean Lee who were great but had their careers ruined due to being so injury prone. Madden desperately needs this!

What happened to the Chargers playbook this year

    Posted: 05 Jun 2021 01:47 AM PDT

The Chargers offensive playbook has been my favorite playbook the past 3 maddens or so. The shotgun sets are the same as last year, they even added a set (Wing Slot Wk), and some read option.

This year they got rid of:

    singleback Wing Tight

    singleback Ace

    i form pro

    i form slot

these sets were amazing, you could run an entire offense just from these sets. Still a good playbook, but what was the point of getting rid of these.

How do I do pull the abilities up while I’m in formation?

    Posted: 05 Jun 2021 01:42 AM PDT

What if they made a football game where you have to time your catches like shooting in nba2k with the bar. Green is a guaranteed catch, close to green is a maybe catch, and red is you know

How to improve a lackluster offense on a sim/watch league?

    Posted: 04 Jun 2021 06:23 PM PDT

I'm doing this watch league with my friends where we play as owners and simply build the team. We don't actually play the games; we just watch them on slow sim mode.

I have built a fairly solid team, especially in regards to my offense. My O-Line is an average of about 82, I have one of, if not the, best receiving corps in the league (89 TE and 3 WR's of over 83 OVR) and Baker Mayfield at QB. He is an 87. On paper, I have probably the best offense in the league.

In reality, the story is much different. Watching them play offense has led me to giving them the nickname of the "Blind Mice". They look a bunch of Nicaraguan rubber farmers who've never even seen a football before. It's infuriating that I've created such a good roster but they don't do anything.

I've tried different playbooks and the result is still the same. I'm here to ask for tips and advice. How do I maximize the effectiveness of my offense? Are there any hidden tricks to fostering success in a watch league like this? I would appreciate ANY AND ALL help!!

    True definition of mixed race

How I draft and it always works for me. No players under 69 for all 7 rounds.

    Posted: 04 Jun 2021 07:11 AM PDT

1st yes I understand that 69 is not an ideal 1st or second round player, but a 69 after the 1st two rounds is a starter on most teams and a steal depending on how far along you are in your franchise.

The tactic I use is pretty simple. I set a realistic expectation for my season. Do I think I'll win the ship? Make the playoffs? Or have a bottom feeding team. And I use that to determine my draft position. For this example let's say I'll go deep into the playoffs, that is a pick around 28-32.

So now I scout the players that should be around when I'm selecting. I'll go 3-5 spots up and 3-5 spots down, that means player ranked 23-37. But don't move to fast only scout the 1st ability at this point, the One that cost 15 points. I'm not worried about the overall yet I'm just trying to maximize my points to players ratio.

If you still have points left move to the next round, that means add 30 spots and do the same thing over again. Scout the 1st ability of picks ranked 53-67. Continue this for 7 rounds regardless of you having 7 rounds of pucks or not. The point of this is to find all the draftable players you can.

There will be times where you need to watch your points because you don't want to leave any on the board. So it becomes math, once you get around 70 points you may have to scout 1 or 2 players fully to use up all the points and that's fine just don't leave any pints behind.

Now you'll have a good idea of what the draft looks like and you can begin to fully scout all the players you've started looking at. Here is where it gets a little more complicated. If you notice I haven't mentioned positions yet. That's because your looking for the best players regardless of position, but not just because you want to pick them. This will allow you to get an idea of how many good players are available at certain positions in latter rounds, gems as well call them. But you'll also see what players are overrated. This will allow you to make an actual draft board based on talent.

You should begin to notice a few patterns, if your looking at an edge rusher and his first scout unlock is a B- pursuit- watch out. He's probably over rated. Because that B- is his best stat. Is there another edge rusher you could look at? Maybe wait to finish his full scout until you get combine reports.

If a guy gets fully scouted and gets a red gem, pass on him. If you fully scout a guy and he gets a green gem he's your guy. Heavy wr draft and you don't need one, then stop spending points on them and look for the gems at other positions.

Pro tip, there are 1st round guys in the unn draftable grade pool. Wait for the combine and then scout the guys who perform well.

You should have a full draft board by week 10 or so. Now it's just about finding guys that your interested in. Now you can go scout all of the guys that are 1st round guys. Then go to your positions of need. Always look at the olineman plenty of hidden talent.

I don’t think I’m ever going to play Madden again

    Posted: 04 Jun 2021 06:35 AM PDT

I had a user qb for 3 years and got him to 99 overall but my team didn't want to sign a new contract so I demanded a release to see what other teams I could land on. So I get to stage 4 of the offseason and I finally get some offers and I actually got 8, but that was too many to choose from so I went to check out their rosters but when I chose what team I wanted to go to, the option to choose a team was gone. I didn't decline anything I just clicked on the options I had and clicked out, so now I have to retire. It makes no sense whatsoever. The game is so poorly designed from the very basics that I just can't take it anymore. I didn't play much anyways but now I'm never playing again.

Does anyone know why you can’t see your players defensive stats on the ‘All NFL’ stats tab

I feel like this has been an issue for years, but I can't see my players when they lead the league in sacks or picks. I can see tackles, but not the other ones. Does anyone know why?
