- EA Madden is a monopoly. Only football game for us. It’s sad a college football game will never happen again. 2k could’ve gotten a jump on that.

Gameplay only barley tweaked, entire modes just re-colored and copy pasted, and what's this? A new ARCADE game mode with micro transactions? THANK GOD I didn't buy this game this year and got the chance to play it at a friends house because I would have been pisssedddd. It's clear as day EA heard 2k got approved to do an arcade style football game and got scared so instead of just improving madden to be a better simulation game they made the game more arcade like to compete with 2K..... That makes absolutely no sense to me.... Kids will spend an extra $100 on micro transactions but you don't think they would buy both your games if they were good enough? If you just make a good game people will buy it regardless of the competition. There's no need to adjust your style to accommodate for new competition that just shows you're scared they'll put you under because you know you can't preform to par. EA knows they put virtually no effort into Madden using an entire year to make MINIMAL changes. Half the code is copy pasted so I see no excuse for this, you've been putting out patches all last year you should have an idea what issues the community wants fixed, added, removed, etc. if EA treated their Devs better they probably wouldn't have such a high turnover rate and would have to keep hiring first year out of college Devs to work on their one game US markets consistently want every year. Like if you're going to copy past at least make your progress for game modes you know for a fact people spent extra money on be transferable. [link] [comments] | ||

He spent the next hour opening dozens of packs. Shortly after, he began his first game. Before the end of the first quarter, he began commenting on how the "game sucks." There was more excitement in the stream during that hour of opening packs than the actual gameplay. It was a perfect example of how this game is just a vessel for gambling. For YEARS we've asked for EA to put something like that BACK into Franchise, but have been told that there are only a "limited number of features" they can implement any given year. Yet, a feature we have been desiring for FUCKING YEARS, now is created and not at all compatible for Franchise mode. Oh and if you think that's bullshit, this feature in The Yard has mouth guards.... Does playing well in college matter or not? If I ran a 4.46, why do I have 70 speed? I played at Clemson, why does it say Drake as my college? None of these things make since to me since the game presents a very different story in gameplay vs the cutscenes, and it feels like half the cutscenes are missing. In one cutscene, when the player character says were in this together, and Tommy says "no we're not." In the very next cutscene they say their brothers. If you want a big cinematic story, then do Longshot with lots of cutscenes and scripting for what happens. Because if you dont, you end up with a story mode where I made zero mistakes in game and still lost the starting job after the national championship, and had to leave so my bitter enemy/best friend could have his job back after almost Dying on the field. Most of the time around 5 months before I delete them and move on to other better games (which is pretty much any other game). But Madden 21 made history for me. As of this post Madden 21 is the quickest delete of any game I've EVER played. 5 hours.... 5 hours was all I needed to come to the conclusion that this game wasn't worth my time. I didn't touch MUT or The yard Or FOTF. I dont need to. MUT is the same thing its been since 16 with the exception of a few in game "Events" which just amount to new card packs. Face Of the Franchise is a waste of recourses.. a half assed game mode that deserves better. The yard, albeit an interesting idea just isn't for me. Im glad people are enjoying it tho but at the same time this is just EA shoe horning another street mode into one of their sports titles when NBA and Fifa are the only decent ones and has nothing to do with the NFL or SIMULATION FOOTBALL. I spent every second of my 5 hours in "Classic" Franchise. The one game mode I get some enjoyment out of each year and this year I felt nothing. I know there will be updates to it later this year but that still does nothing for me. Franchise needs a complete overhaul.. a complete rebuild, refresh, restart, clean slate.. whatever you want to call it. EA wasted a whole console generation on worrying more about selling virtual cards and little on actually making a game worth playing. WE CANT LET THIS SLIDE ANYMORE. We are literally no more than 3-4 months away from a new generation of technology with limits far beyond the PS4 and Xbox one. We all know EA will make sure the new games LOOK good.. but we can no longer allow them to sell us half baked products. If 2k can make a better representation of simulation football on a fucking PS2 game then Madden should look, play and feel NOTHING like it has since Madden 17. The frostbite engine is a beautiful graphics engine but doesn't deliver much outside of that unless the game is an FPS. Madden needs to switch to a new engine on the new generation. Animation dictated gameplay plagues and ruins any potential fun this game has and its time to move on. EA has the developers and i know damn well they have the funds to invest into a better engine. It doesn't matter what game mode you play in this game. If you're a Franchise player, Yard player, MUT player, FOTF player you deserve a better game. You deserve better than what EA has shat out to you for the past 5 years. My rating for Madden Is a 1/10 Visuals are the only thing going for this franchise now and even THAT is dodgy.
