    I've been a fan of Madden for a long time. First started playing on the original Xbox with my pops back in 2005 or 2006. I remember how excited/worried I was when I saw my boy Shaun Alexander on the cover of Madden 07 (yes, we knew about the Madden curse even then). I last played my freshman year of college, probably was Madden 12, and had since taken a long break from it. Imagine my surprise when I come back to one of the first franchises I ever played, eight iterations after the last one I played, and find that it has somehow gotten worse. Some quick digging online reveals that the NFL and the NFLPA has just extended their exclusive deal with EA, which means o other studio can even put a competing football sim on the market. So the features we used to love about this game have been left to stagnate or been removed entirely, and now it's the dead husk of a game we liked stuffed with a shitty micro-transaction game not unlike the crap that EA has tried to jam into every one of their titles recently. Remember Battlefront 2? Do you remember how loud that community had to yell at EA before they backed down and fixed the game? I think it will take something similar for EA to actually do anything about the state of Madden, because like it or not, we are stuck with EA for the foreseeable future. The degree to which they phoned in Madden 21 is actually kind of insulting, they may as well have just said "Screw you, you'll buy it anyways" in the description. And they're mostly right. But I think we all agree that we're playing because we love football and because there is no competition for this garbage, not because we think it's a good game.

    TLDR: Exclusive deals in relation to almost any product or service invariably lead to stagnation and a decline in quality, and Madden is a perfect example of that. If we want a better game then this community is going to have to push EA to give us one, or we can expect the next six maddens to be more of the same

    I decided to boot up madden 21 on my computer since I get it through the EA pro thing and wow. I start a cloud franchise and I get through the fantasy draft. The second I'm done it says can't connect to EA servers and kicks me back to the main menu and completely deletes everything I've done. I get it's an "online" mode but really no back up after doing a cOMPLETE FANTASY DRAFT???

    Where is Antonio Brown?

    I just got Madden 21 finally, did a roster update and started a season with the Bucs. So where is Antonio Brown? He shows up in the play now version of the game but doesn't seem to exist in franchise mode. He doesn't even show up on my depth chart or free agency. What's the issue?

    They are too overpowered and unless whoever you are playing sucks it's pretty much always a L.

    There should be an option that allows you to exclude being matched up against a certain team. Just let the cowards who pick the Chiefs play each other.
