I haven't played Madden in weeks.

    Posted: 08 Mar 2021 06:30 PM PST

I'm pretty much strictly a franchise player. I've bought Madden almost every year since Madden 10 and put hundreds if not thousands of hours into all of them. I just lost the spark with this game. I can't believe I'm playing the most recent iteration of the Madden franchise and the game just isn't very good at all. NBA 2K's career mode isn't very good and somehow it's still way fucking better than Madden.

Anyway thanks for coming to my TED talk

The Story of my 30 Year Ravens Rebuild: 2020-2024

    Posted: 08 Mar 2021 09:15 PM PST

    2020

John Harbaugh leaves the team after the 2019 season, and DC Don Martindale takes up the position of head coach. The team is determined to get Lamar Jackson his first playoff win, get revenge on the Titans for their brutal divisional round defeat in January. Rookies Patrick Queen and J.K. Dobbins are expected to make a good showing, along with new trade acquisitions Calais Campbell and Yannick Ngakoue. Dez Bryant hopes to revive his career as WR3 after his achilles tear in 2018.

The Ravens swept the Bengals, went 1-1 against their other division rivals, and lost to their out of division rivals, the Chiefs and the Titans. The Ravens finished with an 8-8 record and missed the playoffs. They had to watch the Browns defeat the Packers in the Super Bowl from the couch.

Heroes of 2020: Lamar Jackson finished 4th in passing yards (4,416) and 4th in passing TDs (38), along with 194 yards and 2 TD's on the ground. He was 3rd in MVP voting, and second for OPOY and Best QB

Marquise Brown looked to emerge as a true WR1 in 2020. He put up the most receiving yards in the NFL (1334), and 9 TDs

Patrick Queen had a good rookie year. He tied for 6th in TFLs (14) and had 2 interceptions. He finished second for DROY.

Pro Bowlers: Patrick Ricard (FB) Marquise Brown (WR) Ronnie Stanley (LT) Justice Hill (PR)

    2021

Contract Updates: Yannick Ngakoue was resigned to a 6 year, 60.5 million dollar contract. Matt Skura was resigned to a 2 year, 7.62 million dollar contract. Tyus Bowser was resigned to a 2 year, 12.2 million dollar contract. Sam Koch was resigned to a 1 year, 3.65 million dollar contract. Willie Snead IV was resigned to a 3 year, 24 million dollar contract. Haason Reddick was signed to a 5 year, 76.9 million dollar contract. Trey Hendrickson was signed to a 3 year, 39.5 million dollar contract. Picked up Lamar Jackson's fifth year option.

    Retirements: Anthony Levine Sr. (SS)

Draft: Pick 1-14 - Kerry Leak (CB, USC, 73 OVR) Pick 2-14 - Kevin Church (RE, Cal, 77 OVR) Pick 3-14 - DeSean Davis (WR, Montana, 70 OVR) Pick 4-14 - Ashton Wise (MLB, Eastern Washington, 69 OVR) Pick 5-13 - Chris Schillinger (LT, Kansas State, 62 OVR) Pick 6-14 - Rashaun Henry (DT, USC, 60 OVR)

After a disappointing 8-8 first season as a head coach, Martinadale is determined to make a playoff run before he has to extend Lamar Jackson. Besides their division rivals, the team is focusing their efforts on beating the New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs, two teams that embarrassed them in the 2020 season. The defense looks to take their spot at the top, the front seven now bolstered by Trey Hendrickson and Haason Reddick, but can Brandon Williams and Calais Campbell stop their age from catching up to them?

After 4 years, Lamar Jackson was finally able to beat the Kansas City Chiefs. The Ravens swept the world champion Browns team, went 1-1 against the up and coming Bengals, beat the Steelers in week 15 for control of the AFC North, but were beaten once again by the Patriots. They finished 12-4, securing the 1 seed in the AFC, along with every other team in the AFC North.

In the divisional round, the Ravens came up against a familiar foe, the 7 seed Pittsburgh Steelers, who had just upset the 2 seed Patriots. Unfortunately, this would not be the year Lamar Jackson shakes the Playoff narrative, as the Ravens lose to the Steelers 20-17, with Haason Reddick getting a foot fracture during the game. The Baltimore Ravens were once again watching a division rival in the Super Bowl, this time the Steelers lost to the Cowboys.

Heroes of 2021: J.K. Dobbins had his first 1,00 yard rushing season, while also putting up 15 TDs.

Willie Snead had a 1300 yard season, while catching 9 TD passes.

At 35 years old, Calais Campbell put up 14 TFLs and 11 sacks.

Kevin Church had 32 tackles, 7 TFLs, 5 sacks and an interception. He took home the DROY award.

Pro Bowlers: J.K. Dobbins (HB) Patrick Ricard (FB) Willie Snead (WR) Ronnie Stanley (LT) Orlando Brown Jr (RT) Calais Campbell (RE) Deion Cain (PR)

    2022

Contract Updates: Mark Andrews was resigned to a 5 year, 49.9 million dollar contract. Orlando Brown Jr. was resigned to a 5 year, 48.5 million dollar contract. Patrick Ricard was resigned to a 3 year, 13.1 million dollar contract. San Koch was resigned to a 1 year, 2.73 million dollar contract. Deshon Elliot was resigned to a 6 year, 34.6 million dollar contract. Fred Warner was signed to a 6 year, 113 million dollar contract. Picked up Marquise Brown's fifth year option.

    Retirements: Calais Campbell (RE)

Draft: Pick 1-3 - DeVonta Davis (DT, Michigan State, 77 OVR) Pick 1-14 - Evan Fontaine (C, San Diego State, 76 OVR, Hidden) Pick 4 - 27 - Jamison Byrd (LE, Indiana, 68 OVR, Hidden) Pick 5 - 27 - Deon Davis (HB Mississippi State, 68 OVR) Pick 6 - 27 - Trayvon Hannon (RE, Tennessee, 66 OVR) Pick 7 - 27 - Paul Parmer (SS, Tennessee State, 66 OVR)

Coach Martindale finally has a winning record as a head coach, and he's looking for a deep playoff run. The team is frustrated after taking the 1 seed and going one and done to a division rival. Ever the defensive genius, Martindale was able to convince superstar linebacker Fred Warner to play in Baltimore alongside Queen, Reddick, and Ngakoue. The retirement of Calais Campbell and the loss of Brandon Williams to free agency has left gaps in the defensive line that are filled by DROY Kevin Church and 3rd overall pick DeVonta Davis. On the offense, Lamar Jackson is ready to make a name for himself in the playoffs. Offensive stars Snead and Dobbins are determined to help him get there.

The team trampled former Super Bowl participants Browns and Steelers, and went 1-1 with the Bengals. They lost to both out of division rivals, the Patriots and Chiefs, causing them to lose the 1 seed at 13-3.

Lamar Jackson finally won his first playoff game, beating the 8-8 Bengals in the Wild Card round 35-13. Despite sweeping them in the regular season, the Browns frustratingly triumphed over the Ravens 31-24. The Browns went on to trounce the Cowboys in the Super Bowl with Colin Kaepernick at QB.

Heroes of 2022: Lamar Jackson threw for 4,300 yards and 34 TDs, and added 4 on the ground. He came 4th in MVP voting.

Willie Snead had 1,300 receiving yards, as well as 11 TDs, his third 1,000 yard season in a row.

DPOY Fred Warner led the team in tackles (116), sacks (8), and interceptions (4).

Justin Tucker didn't miss a single kick.

    Pro Bowlers:

Lamar Jackson (QB) Willie Snead (WR) Mark Andrews (TE) Ronnie Stanley (LT) Orlando Brown Jr (RT) Fred Warner (MLB) Justin Tucker (K)

    2023

Contract Updates: Lamar Jackson was resigned to a 6 year, 226 million dollar contract. Picked up Patrick Queen's fifth year option

    Retirements: Sam Koch (P)

Draft: Pick 3-27 - Grant Diggs (RG, Stanford, 74 OVR) Pick 4-27 - Jerry Moses (SS, UAB, 68 OVR, Hidden) Pick 5-27 - Jaden Porter (CB, SMU, 67 OVR) Pick 7-27 - Brandon McPherson (RT, Oregon State, 63 OVR)

The Baltimore Ravens are more determined than ever to bring home a ring. In three years, the Browns have equaled their number of Super Bowl victories. With superstars on both sides of the ball at QB, LT, HB, MLB, and CB, as well as being one of the youngest teams in the league, the Ravens feel that they shouldn't be getting left in the dust

The Ravens once again defeated the world champion Browns in their home opener, and also beat the Steelers and the Bengals before their week 4 bye, but Haason Reddick and Fred Warner went down for a few weeks, and at mid season J.K. Dobbins was sidelined by a partial PCL tear. Due to these injuries, the team lost to the Browns and the Bengals in their second matchups, but still managed to finish at 13-3 to claim the 5 seed.

In the Wild Card, the Ravens cam face to face with the 9-7 Jaguars who had beat them earlier in the season. The Ravens got revenge, winning 30-24. In the Divisional, the Ravens were scheduled to play the 13-3 Chiefs, who they had beat earlier in the season. The Ravens asserted their dominance by beating them 31-27. They came up against their rival, the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship, and lost. The Ravens have to watch a THIRD division rival in the Super Bowl, which the Bengals won over the Panthers.

Heroes of 2023: Lamar Jackson, the man, the myth, the legend, and now the two-time MVP. He led the league in both passing yards (4,632) and passing TDs (45) with another 300 yards and 4 TDs on the ground.

Devin Duvernay led the team in receiving yards (1,117) and had the second most receiving TDs in the league (15).

Pro Bowlers: Lamar Jackson (QB) Devin Duvernay (WR) Mark Andrews (TE) Ronnie Stanley (LT) Evan Fontaine (C) Orlando Brown Jr. (RT) Justin Tucker (K)

2024 Contract Updates: J.K. Dobbins was resigned to a 5 year, 30.4 million dollar contract. Trey Hendrickson was resigned to a 3 year, 31.7 million dollar contract. Devin Duvernay was resigned to a 4 year, 18.9 million dollar contract. Justin Tucker was resigned to a 1 year, 4.88 million dollar contract. Willie Snead was resigned to a 3 year, 18.2 million dollar contract. Isaiah Simmons was signed to a 5 year, 41.6 million dollar contract.

Draft: Pick 1-14 - David Harris (WR, Auburn, 75 OVR, Hidden) Pick 2-30 - JaMichael Dorsett (ROLB, Clemson, 70 OVR) Pick 3-30 - Jose Dawkins (CB, Kansas State, 71 OVR, Hidden) Pick 4-22 - Trayvon Young (WR, Lehigh, 67 OVR) Pick 5-30 - Duncan Walter (RG, Louisville, 62 OVR) Pick 6-30 - James Gregory (LG, Ole Miss, 57 OVR) Pick 7-30 - Jamie McAllister (CB, Northern Illinois, 64 OVR)

Don Martindale and the team have never been more frustrated. They're one of the most talented teams in the NFL, but their rivals in the division from Hell always come out on top. With FA Isaiah Simmons and stud rookie receiver David Harris added to the lineup, they have the best chance they've ever had.

ONCE AGAIN, the Ravens beat the reigning world champions in their home opener. Baltimore went on to sweep the world champs, went 3-1 against the rest of the division from hell, and walked into the playoffs without any injuries this year.

The first team the Ravens faced in the playoffs were the Diablos, formerly the Chargers. Baltimore beat them 20-17.Their next opponent was the Cincinnati Bengals, a rivalry that reached new heights in the previous season. This year, the former champs went 9-7. The Ravens were able to beat them for the third time this season, 28-14. In the AFC Championship once again, this time the opponent is the 1 seed Buffalo Bills. One team standing between the Ravens and the Super Bowl that they have been chasing for years. It was a blowout. A massacre of legendary proportions. The Baltimore Ravens shut out the Buffalo Bills 35-0 in one of the most one sided playoff games of all time. The defense stepped up big time with four sacks and five interceptions. Their final opponent was the Los Angeles Rams, the 5 seed in the NFC, who barely scraped by against their rivals, the Seattle Seahawks to get to the Super Bowl. The Rams couldn't keep up. Lamar Jackson passed for 316 yards and 3 TDs, while the defense practically lifted the ball out of Jared Goff's hands. Don Martindale had built the best Ravens team the franchise had ever seen, and hoisted the Lombardi trophy with Lamar Jackson, Devin Duvernay, Fred Warner and Super Bowl MVP Marlon Humphrey. And he wanted more.

Heroes of 2024: Not only did Lamar Jackson win his second MVP award in a row, not only did he put up 4,618 passing yards, but he also tied Peyton Manning's TD record with 55 passing TDs (and 2 on the ground).

In addition to putting up 1,594 receiving yards, Devin Duvernay tied Randy Moss' record with 23 receiving TD's.

Rookie WR David Harris also had a pretty decent year, with 1,062 receiving yards and 8 TDs.

Mark Andrews was almost the third Ravens player to crack 1,000 yards this season, and he caught 14 TDs.

Calvin Throckmorton played 1125 snaps without giving up a single sack.

Why does my QB move in the pocket when I'm not moving him?

    Posted: 08 Mar 2021 11:20 PM PST

I'm currently playing Madden 07 on Dolphin Emulator and I notice for some reason my QB moves in the pocket when I didn't move him with the left stick and it has lead to me getting sacked quite a bit.
