| Posted: 27 Jul 2021 06:30 AM PDT So last night I got super high and played NCAA14. I've played hours apon hours in madden over the past 6 years, usually in franchise mode rebuilding teams, but not that many hours in NCAA14. I only got NCAA14 last year when covid hit (i wasn't that into football and gaming when I was young) and played a little during quarantine but not that much, but I've been bored of games so I started playing it again. Anyways, I started a dynasty a couple days ago and played a couple games but last night after getting pretty baked, I played a game and it was insane. The game just felt and looked so much more realistic than Madden that it literally felt like I was really watching college football. I watched the pregame intro of my Maryland Terps going up against #10 Virgina Tech and was thinking there was no way I was gonna win. The game starts and it just felt so much better than Madden. I can't really even explain most little things but I think it's all due to not being predictable and scripted animations like Madden. I could truck a dude with my TE after catching a pass near the sideline and not just get put in an animation that forced them to go out of bounds. I could run the ball and actually follows blocks and not just get sucked in to a dlinemen tackling me while being blocked. Add in the announcers not having the most predictable lines i've heard over and over again, and the cuts to the sideline to show my guys after a TD, or the cheerleaders and crowd, and it was so much more immersive. And in terms of the game, after being down 24-10 at the middle of the third, I scored, held their offense in check, then lead a fourth quarter drive to tie it up with a minute left. I'm playing defense praying they don't just break a huge play like they should, and they do to get them to the 25 yard line. They go to run the ball, fumble. We get the ball back and I'm hype as hell lol. Now I'm on offense, and I've mainly been running because when i'm high i'm stupid and throw picks lol but I need to pass. I call some plays, have some close misses and 3rd down conversions, and get to the 30 with 5 seconds left. I go to kick the game winner, get iced and i'm actually freakin out lol, but i make it and am hype as hell. It was just so insane because the whole time it actually felt like I was watching a college football upset or honestly felt like i was really playing. Even with worse graphics i didn't care if just felt so much more real lol. TL;DR: I got baked and played NCAA14 and it was so much better than Madden that it felt like I was actually watching college football, and I beat a ranked team in dynasty and it was amazing. Day 1 was wide receivers with Chad Johnson we had one 99 overall receiver Davante Adams . Day 2 we get one 99 DT(Aaron Donald)with Vince Wilfork and no 99 Pass rushers even though they were released as well. The rest of the week we get Marshawn Lynch with running backs, then Ed Reed with safeties(I'm assuming CBs on this day too), and finally Alex Smith with QBs. So now my theory what if we get one each 99 Halfback, Safety, and Quarterback for the 99 club? I would like to know everyone's picks for the final 3. [link] [comments] | ||
