    So I decided I was gonna sit and relax, and play some Madden 08. I just got it for pc, and I remember playing it as a kid on the gamecube. However, this experience is pretty bad on pc. The controller I have has the worst controls possible and there's no button to start a play, and the same goes for keyboard and mouse. If I was able to start a play, I'd probably still be playing right now.

    Player's "interest" went down when I offered him more guaranteed money...

    I feel like it is a very rare scenario that a player would be upset that 75% of their contract would be guaranteed. I tried to make Corey Davis' contract similar to his real life one, 3/36 mill, 27 mill guaranteed. And his interest went down from when his guaranteed was like 12 mill...AND he signed with the other team. That leads me to rant subject #2: WHY CAN'T I COUNTER OFFER?? I would be more than willing to match or beat whatever offer the other team could drum up but I'm not allowed that chance.

    Does anyone like the canned stories in these and in 2K? It's mind boggling to me that they put these in. I miss the old days when it was you did the combine and worked out for a team and then played your career that way. Madden 05 I think had the ability to go get tattoos and hire agents etc. which was awesome

    Looking to start a Franchise and want to know what you all do to stay engaged and not get bored of it?!?

    My buddies and I just finished an online league, and I wanted to start a new one for just myself to pass time until new madden comes out.

    What do you all do to keep things fresh, whether it's sliders, Franchise house rules, initial set up, anything!

    So I'm really into football but terrible at video games and my friend is vice versa. When we play madden I usually win but barely win (31-28).y defense is horrible and I know once I stop his passing attack it's gg. He usually runs singleback formation. What the best defensive plays to run against him?

    I'm in a simulation style CFM league and there's a guy in the league running Cover 1 lb blitz where the lbs come off the edge unblocked or he swerves with the rusher in a way that leaves the lineman just standing there and doesn't block. Also he engages the center pre-play, then one of his rushers get free before QB finishes a 3 step drop. Is this considered a cheese/glitch/nano blitz?

    Since news has been out for awhile about 2K creating an arcade style NFL game, I'm sure EA has got to be somewhat worried about a competitor entering the arena. Even though EA is the official "simulation" football game, it makes me wonder how things are going to shake out in the next couple of years. With that said, I had a thought that would allow EA to win back its detractors while also still making money hand over fist with MUT.

    Separate Madden into two games
    1) Create a Madden games that it's sole focus is MUT.
    2) Create a offline Madden game that it's sole focus is offline modes such as franchise, superstar mode, create a player, etc.

    This would require two separate development teams, but with the amount of resources EA has it could be done. To take it a step further, I believe if done right, they could re-capture old Madden fans along with their new. What are your thoughts on this?

    Offline Franchise mode crashed after I kicked a field goal to win a game. Both Autosave and main file were corrupted in the process smh. Wasn't the last update made to prevent this?

    So in my franchise, I had gotten to year 2025. I was on week 12 and was thoroughly enjoying how the year was going. I control 8 teams (because I didn't like how the CPU was using the players during sim and pretty much had to take over) Anyway, I already played most of the games and controlled the Cardnials vs The Bucs (All-Pro w/ sliders fwiw)

    I had ended the game taking a knee on my own accord without simming in a 42 - 14 win. Once the game finished, I was hoping to go back to the franchise home menu just for it to crash during loading..

    Rebooted the game and tried to load the autosave, just to have that AND the save I hadn't touched for an hour before be corrupted Smfh. I had a 3 day old save of the franchise in my PS+ online storage so I didn't COMPLETELY lose my franchise file (Thank God) but it threw me back 6 weeks.. which, when you control 8 teams, is A LOT of changes and things that got undone. (Me getting Stefon Diggs to have 277 yards against a mediocre team for example)

    How can I prevent this from happening again? Because now I'm nervous about playing the game due to fear it could crash again and I lose all my progress AGAIN.. Is there a trick to stop this bug?

    I probably shouldn't care this much, but I'm a HEAVY franchise guy. (Hence why I'm controlling multiple teams due to idiot AI and terrible sim stats) so this really made me mad upon happening.

    Favorite PS4/XB1 Madden?

    I know anything from Madden 13 up to 21 has been utter shit (in my opinion) but is there a version of the game that you find decent for offline franchise?

    I miss the days where I'd sit down and play every game of the season and be fully immersed in my fantasy drafted Broncos team. Now, I can't get through a second season without getting completely bored and disinterested. I usually spend a few hours fantasy drafting, only to turn around and start drafting a new one lol.

    I'm not sure if it's because the current games are shit (which they objectively are) or I'm just getting older (27) and don't have the patience anymore.

    The last game I really dove deep into franchise with was my Geno Smith-led team in Madden 25 on PS3 (6 years in, playing every game).

    Anyways, sorry for going on. I have every PS4 Madden (unfortunately) is there a year where you found the game actually fun?
