    Hello,

    I'm Rachel, a research student from the University of York.

    I'm currently investigating player interactions in games. More specifically, toxic and prosocial behaviours between players.

    I want to find out about your experiences. So, I've put together a short survey to find out more! It should only take around 7 minutes to complete.

    New Franchise Idea: Assistant Coaching Role to work your way up from QB Coach to HC

    They need to make assistant coaches a part of CFM. When you start a new Franchise and select the Coach role, you should also be able to choose the level of coaching you want to begin your career. Here's how it would work:

    If you choose to start as a QB Coach for example, then that first season you should only be able to control the QB in games. Then, if your QB does well, you can get job offers from other teams. Some may be lateral moves (like if your HC was fired) or promotions to OC.

    Once you're an Offensive Coordinator, you can control the entire offense. Again, if your unit (in this case, the entire offense) does well, you can get HCing job offers. When you're a HC, you control the entire team within games just like you do now in the normal Coach Role in CFM.

    This would make it more realistic and provide a way to move up through the coaching ranks. You could also do it for the defensive side of the ball where you can only user control a player from your position group. Normal camera view (behind the offense), but if you're a Secondary Coach, you can control any CB or Safety on the field, but are unable to control a LB or DL.

    Then, once you're a HC, you also get to hire your staff. And certain coordinators or position coaches would have strengths (like OVR boosts, Progression boosts, Free Agency influence boosts, Re-Sign Boosts). And just like in real life, if you have a great offense - your stud OC may get hired away to be someone else's HC. Now you have to hire a new OC or promote a QB Coach who may not give you as much of a benefit as your previous OC.

    If you get fired as a HC for losing a lot, you might get another HC offer, or you might have to take a step down and go back to being an OC or position coach to try to work your way back up through the ranks.

    I think this idea would make CFM way more immersive and fun.

    Madden strikes again, buddy of mine and I are in a 32 man online franchise and he made it to the playoffs and this happens. So both players decide to quit the game and try again. Nope. Madden sims the rest of the game after they quit and buddy is out of the playoffs. Big Fs in the chat boys.

    What's the point of the challenge option if I can never use it?

    I threw an interception in the endzone, and the player ran out to start returning, had one foot out of the endzone, then knelt down and got a touchback but I'm thinking it should be a safety, but there's no option to challenge it... Why is the challenge option there then?
