What was most disappointing about Face of the Franchise.... Posted: 23 Mar 2020 08:52 PM PDT The game could have simulated the football world better. I really liked the clips of Good Morning Football before you get drafted but after that, there seemed to be no other effort put into it. I got drafted by the Buccaneers in the 7th round and immediately took the starting position from Jameis Winston. I won the Superbowl in my rookie year and broke the all-time TD record in the regular season. However, there didn't seem to be any dialog added into the game that made it seem like you achieved anything special. I then went on to consecutive 19-0 seasons and set the all-time TD record at 90+ in my third year. Again, nothing changed about how people talked about my player. Worst of all, in my third consecutive Superbowl, I faced off with Jameis Winston who is now the quarterback of the Denver Broncos. It would have been an insane Superbowl storyline but again, it's just your same old generic commentators saying the same old thing. It would have been fun if it feels like any achievements you were making were impacting the football world somehow.... [link] [comments]

Face of Franchise keep making me retire Posted: 24 Mar 2020 01:29 AM PDT This happened for the second time. First with Jags and now the Raiders. I play both for 4 years, won Super Bowls and mvps. Once it hit free agency no team wants me. Am I doing something wrong [link] [comments]

Posted: 24 Mar 2020 02:07 AM PDT Is there anyway to adjust some sort of sliders of the CPU re-signing players? I feel like after a few seasons, the best players on the market are like 82 at the most and the rest are a bunch of 75-79. Really unrealistic and kind of ruins FA for in this mode. (Discussion) This games Sim is utter dogshit Posted: 23 Mar 2020 07:57 AM PDT I like to take crap teams with under 5 wins and for lack of a better term "browns" them and trade all their good players and start over. I recently took over the raiders and panthers who each had 1 win halfway thru the season, i proceed to trade almost everyone that isnt a 90 ovr + they then go on to win 4 or 5 games by the end of the year with no WRs and 60 ovr QBs. So frustrating, anyone have similar issues? [link] [comments]

Posted: 24 Mar 2020 12:33 AM PDT This game is so bad at times that it's unplayable. Not because it doesn't function, but because I get so mad about it being absolutely garbage. Fumble after fumble for no reason, especially in times where I need to convert. I always lose the fumbles no matter what. Interceptions that are literally MLBs turning around out of nowhere while the ball is in the air and jump 10 feet off the ground. Interceptions caused by my QB air mailing it for no reason or my players not attempting in the slightest to get in between the DB and the ball. Holding penalties on plays where I'll obviously have a big gain just because my guy gets open. The amount of times I've lost a game in the last week because I lose 3 fumbles and then come back, only for my QB to air mail a ball or my WR to fumble it on a major conversion is asinine. And don't get me started on how fast my players are (Especially Lamar) and how easily any given player can catch me, every single time. Besides all of the gameplay issues like this:
I am so happy that 2K is going to get the ability to make non-simulation games, and I hope this ends up becoming competition for EA because it's trash. [link] [comments]

Simulating the 2020 NFL Season: Week 1 - Chaos Unexpected Posted: 23 Mar 2020 06:16 PM PDT This post is one part of a series I'm doing, simulating the 2020 NFL Season in Madden 20. The previous post can be found HERE. Week 1: The 2020 NFL Season is underway! From breakout rookie stars, to old faces in new places, there was plenty of intrigue and excitement in week one. Let's get underway. Each week I have chosen one game as the Game of the Week. This game will be simulated in an actual game of Madden (where you can see each play happen), in order to provide detailed analysis of the game. For week 1, I chose the Buccaneers vs the Chargers. Buccaneers @ Chargers (GOTW): - Justin Herbert gets his first start in the NFL in week 1, against the GOAT. Quite a tall order for the rookie. After a gritty, defensive effort in the first half, the scoring heated up in the late 3rd and 4th quarter, with the Chargers clinging to a 20-15 lead going into the final two minutes of the game. It appeared as if Brady (340 yds, 1 td, 1 int) would yet again have a magical come from behind win. It came down to the final play. From the edge of the redzone, Brady dropped back to pass. But he didn't have much time to throw as Casey Heyward came screaming on a CB blitz, and slammed #12 into the turf. Justin Herbert (227 yds, 2 tds, 1 int) and the Chargers come away with a shocking upset against the heavily favored Buccaneers. This is not the start that Tampa envisioned; they hope to bounce back in week 2 against the Falcons. FINAL: LAC 20-15 TB Eagles @ Steelers - The most chaotic game this week had to be this matchup between Philly and Pittsburgh. After Ben Roethlisberger struggled with injuries throughout training camp, the Steelers made the decision to start rookie Jalen Hurts at QB for week 1. The kid from Oklahoma absolutely went off, throwing for 284 yds, 5 TDs, and 2 INTs. Diontae Johnson abused the Eagles secondary for 6 catches, 92 yds, and 3 TDs. FINAL: PIT 42 - 28 PHI Cardinals @ Packers - A tight matchup in the frozen tundra ultimately ends in a win for the Pack. Kyler Murray (252/1/0) shows promise, and Hopkins snags 5 catches for 70 yards in a 1 point loss. Green Bay takes care of business at home. FINAL: GB 21-20 ARI Broncos @ Jets - Total disfunction for Denver in week 1. Drew Lock (213/2/1) looked decent, but the Broncos defense gave up 45 points to Sam Darnold (413/4/2) and company in a disappointing loss. For the Jets, things are finally looking up, but not without a tragic injury. Leveon Bell fractured his kneecap, and will require season ending surgery. Darnold threw well, and Etienne dominated the ground game, scoring 2 TDs in his rookie debut. FINAL: NYJ 45 - 24 DEN Browns @ Dolphins - Tua Tagovailoa (187/1/0) pulls off the impressive upset in his first start with help from the 1-2 punch of Jordan Howard and D'Andre Swift. Jarvis Landry shows out with 113 yards and a TD, but it wasn't enough to get the win for the Browns on the road. FINAL: MIA 21 - 14 CLE Ravens @ Jaguars - On paper, this game is a blowout, but Jacksonville hung with Ravens throughout the game. Although the Ravens ultimately win, the Jaguars kept it interesting thanks to DJ Chark's 9 catches and 121 yards. FINAL: BAL 34 - 24 JAX Raiders @ Bengals - Bengals fans rejoice as Joe Burrow steps on to the field for the first time. Although he didn't really do anything too impressive (178/1/1), the Bengals still grind out a win on the back of Joe Mixon's 168 yds on the ground. Derek Carr got the week 1 start but was mostly ineffective. FINAL: CIN 20 - 17 LV Texans @ Titans - This showdown between two AFC South playoff teams ends up a blowout in favor of the Texans. Deshaun Watson (344/4/1) goes off, throwing Randall Cobb 5 passes for 146 yards and a TD. The Titans disappoint in their season opener. FINAL: HOU 45 - 24 TEN Bills @ Patriots - The evil empire finally looks beatable. This one was a shootout, with Josh Allen and Jarrett Stidham both throwing for 3 TDs. Ultimately, the Bills come away with it in Foxborough. FINAL: BUF 35 - 28 NE Falcons @ Panthers - Atlanta is in shambles after a blowout loss at the hands of Teddy Bridgewater, who threw for 3 TDs in his panthers debut. Matt Ryan looked poor, throwing only 1 TD to 2 INTs. FINAL: CAR 30 - 7 ATL Bears @ Colts - Chicago made the controversial decision to start Mitchell Trubisky week 1, but he showed up, throwing for 246 yds and 3 TDs. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to beat Phillip Rivers (207/2/1) and the Colts. FINAL: IND 28 - CHI 24 Saints @ Chiefs - The marquee matchup of week 1 was... less interesting than anticipated. The Chiefs absolutely decimated the Saints, with Mahomes throwing for 282 yds and 4 TDs. FINAL: KC 35 - 14 NO Seahawks @ 49ers - One of the biggest disappointments of the week occurred in SF. The Niners simply didn't show up to play, and they got shut down by the Seahawks. Seattle rookie LE Yetur Gross-Matos led the defense with 2 TFLs and 2 sacks. FINAL: SEA 24 - 3 SF Giants @ Rams - Oh boy. This is not what the Rams were hoping for. On the other hand, Daniel Jones (419/2/0) looked absolutely stellar. Golden Tate grabs 5 catches for 154 yds and a TD, and Evan Engram has a day as well, catching 6 passes for 128 yards and a TD. FINAL: NYG 24 - 17 LAR Redskins @ Cowboys - The Boys narrowly pull a close one off at home, but the Redskins prove they can be competitive. Zeke rushes for 100 yds and a TD in the W. FINAL: DAL 20 - WAS 17 Vikings @ Lions - Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison lead Minnesota to victory, combining for 157 yds and 2 TDs. FINAL: MIN 22 - 19 DET Players of the Week - AFC Offense - Patrick Mahomes - AFC Defense - Benardrick McKinney - NFC Offense - Daniel Jones - NFC Defense - Eric Kendricks Standings: AFC North - Ravens (1-0) - Bengals (1-0) - Steelers (1-0) - Browns (0-1) AFC South - Texans (1-0) - Colts (1-0) - Jaguars (0-1) - Titans (0-1) AFC East - Bills (1-0) - Jets (1-0) - Dolphins (1-0) - Patriots (0-1) AFC West - Chiefs (1-0) - Chargers (1-0) - Raiders (0-1) - Broncos (0-1) NFC North - Vikings (1-0) - Packers (1-0) - Lions (0-1) - Bears (0-1) NFC South - Panthers (1-0) - Buccaneers (0-1) - Saints (0-1) - Falcons (0-1) NFC East - Cowboys (1-0) - Giants (1-0) - Redskins (0-1) - Eagles (0-1) NFC West - Seahawks (1-0) - Cardinals (0-1) - Rams (0-1) - 49ers (0-1) That's it for week 1, hope y'all enjoyed. Look out for week 2, which will be posted tomorrow. [link] [comments]

All-Madden or All-Pro for enjoyable challenge in online franchise league? Posted: 23 Mar 2020 11:03 PM PDT My friend and I are trying and failing to get settings that lead to enjoyable but difficult gameplay in 20. We're experienced players and used to play all-madden on 19. On All-Pro (with some players that had been boosted to have pretty OP speed using our own edits) my friend went 16-0 easily, which isn't what we're looking for. We switched to All-Madden and I went 2-14 having previously been 11-5, while he got beat pretty frequently and lost in the wildcard round with that same absurdly good team. With our own slider adjustments in a new career, we got demolished in our first three games. We used Matt10's sliders, which I've enjoyed in the last few Maddens, but all-madden just seems absolutely impossible. Defenders will never get off of blocks, CPU run game is way overpowered, our receivers drop everything, and our lines might as well not exist in our own run game. Not to mention our 3+ interceptions every game. Really, my question is this. Do you guys think All-Madden is meant to be a superhero god mode gimmick to pit amazing teams against, while All-Pro is supposed to be the actual realistic challenge? Or do we just need to make slider tweaks and get good? We don't want to lower the difficulty again and have a cake walk, but losing by 20+ points every single game when it's not our fault is unbearable. [link] [comments]
