    People think we bash Madden just because we blindly hate EA. It's not true. There's justification for hating the product EA spits out. The commentary on Madden has been atrocious. Even go back to before Gaudin and Davis. Nantz and Sims were not any better. It's not just the recorded lines but the engineering that goes into it. It's the worst effort put forth into any sports game.

    Madden 20 commentary is so awful. You can be in pre-season week 4, and Gaudin and Davis will discuss being in week 3 and carrying 90 players (75 in Madden) all the way to the end of pre-season.

    If a team is trailing in the final minutes of the game and throws a pick, Gaudin goes, "oh a crusher there as it's picked off and that should do it" no matter how many times. As long as the trailing team throws a pick that's what he says. Twice, three times... he says this line. If 4 sacks are given up, Davis says, "the amount of sacks absorbed by this team is absolutely extraordinary, let's just face it: this offensive line cannot handle this pass rush, it's been demonstrated time and time again." Even if he says it and the opposing team gets 4 sacks, he will repeat this line.

    Engineering is so terrible that they can record 200 new lines for Madden 21 and the same lines will be repeated. Gaudin makes mention of the 25-yard-line on every single kickoff. OT rules are repeated every single OT. End of games a recap is given. "And the Jags will get a chance to redeem themselves at home against Jacksonville."

    And you talk about EA Sports pushing that this is a simulation NFL game and yet Gaudin will say "hey John, pst, John, why'd you skip the halftime show? Just kidding, but I bet you're pretty freaked out if your name is John." or Davis will say, "as many people pointed out, this is a video game!" or many of the other lines that completely destroy immersion.

    QB introductions are always the same. "Matthew Stafford is a strong arm quarterback. Has learned to temper his throws, actually added a lot more touch to his passes over the years." Same thing said for 70 games. Draft a rookie WR and throw it to him all game and all you hear is "and it's caught, that's Jones." History for a player never changes. Theo Riddick will run the ball for the Lions and Gaudin says "now the second year man from Notre Dame." Like come on.

    And for team performances, there's next to nothing. I remember taking over the Pats and duplicating a perfect season. Going into week 17 15-0, "and for the Patriots, they also won last week so something's gotta give."

    EA sports zero effort into the commentary. It makes no difference if you record 2000 lines and update throughout the season if the triggered sounds are always the same. You can buy Madden 21 and after two games played through, you've heard all the 'new' lines.

    I have to say, I was optimistic to see if there were any new Franchise features at EA Play this year since I gave them such a hard time over the trailer. I was also intrigued to see the new gameplay features in action, but EA showed us nothing!! This does not give me hope for Madden franchise mode or for Madden 21 in general. My sadness is immeasurable

    In my connected franchise there's a guy who runs all the money plays. PA Crossers, HB Stretch, you know the type. Everyone hates playing with him and hes mad shady. In all-pro 5min quarters vs the CPU he scored 102 points. How is that possible? Now, in back to back games vs users both guys who played him said he paused the game for 20 seconds right before nailing a 60+ yd FG without the help of wind. His kicker is not Tucker or Zuerlein and it was in Minnesota and Los Angeles. Is there some type of cheat I dont know of? Or is this guy just drilling these?
