    Live Play By Play For 32 Team Single Elimination Madden Sim Tournament w/ Updated Rosters

    To those of you bored and brave enough to read this, I wrote a ten page paper for my economics final project about why Madden has a monopoly over the football video game market. Thought some on here might find it interesting.

    For those, like myself, who would be too lazy to read some random kid's paper on a Sunday afternoon, here is the the summary:

    The exclusive rights deal that The NFL/NFLPA gave to Electronic Arts to use the likenesses of the shield/teams/players/coaches destroyed the competitive nature of the market that led to the best Madden games of all time. It gave EA free range to completely abuse its fan base's desires to make a higher profit. It allowed them to completely dismember my precious franchise mode in favor of stuffing MUT micro-transactions down our throat. So for ten pages I completely roast the Madden franchise like a Comedy Central special for a grade.

    As I am sure most of us feel, I love the game but am just very disappointed in what it could have been.

    Had a franchise with Tampa recently (Pre-Brady Bucs) and filled a majority of my holes 3 years in so I thought I'd grab a 1st round rated Reciever he ended up being a solid 77 ovr but played maybe 13 games in his first 3 years and finally played a full campaign on the final year of his deal but only nabbed 17 catches for 169 yards and a TD cause I had a 3rd rounder perform and he was higher ovr

    I just wasted 5 hours drafting 18 rounds only to find that the established 30 rounds we were going to was going to be shortened to 20.
