    I've played FIFA and Madden for years and they've been well below par but HOLY FUCK this new Madden is shit. It's so bad. Everything about it is amateurish. Thank god i only got a trail, I'd rather flush my money down the shitter than pay for that.

    I think this is the straw that breaks the camel's back for a lot of people. I played during this free weekend (because I will not buy a Madden until it changes), and experienced a lot of bad over a little good.

    Bad:

    1. One of my exhibition games involved them putting the wrong fans in the stadium (fans only wearing blue Dolphins jerseys at Bengals stadium). Might be a double bug since Bengals and Dolphins fans don't go to games.

    2. QB scramble with almost any QB will get you a good chunk of yards, since the defenders will cover the wide receiver even when you are beyond the line of scrimmage. Really dumb, especially with Lamar.

    3. Top tier players are ridiculously good. I have seen my receivers get diving one handed catches on desperate throws 40 yards down field way too many times. I even had a receiver have a ball glue to their hand in triple coverage with the ball clipping through the hands of two cornerbacks.

    4. Mediocre players are ridiculously bad. Linebackers bouncing off second tier running backs, cornerbacks will not break up a pass at all, offensive linemen literally layed out backwards on every bull rush

    5. Penalties galore, especially uncharacteristic ones on people who don't typically get flags. I thought it was cool when I saw more things being called as penalties but a holding call on a negative three yard running play (flagged after the play ended) should be less frequent than when my QB had 7 seconds in the pocket. One of my computer controlled defensive linemen got roughing the passer even though no one broke through the line by the time the ball was thrown.

    6. Because of how ridiculous good and bad players are, teams that are lower overall feel really lopsided. It feels like the difference compares more to skill gaps in college than the NFL.

    7. Switching between characters is terrible. The closest person is running toward the ball carrier, why am I being given the person who is further away and at a worse angle?

    8. If I see that damn two arm dramatic first down animation one more god damn time. It was one of the only first down animations in Madden 20 and I see it way too much already in a game that was hyping having a bunch of celebrations.

    9. Speaking of celebrations, why does everyone do the "football stuck to glove" animation for swagger? Especially when the ball isn't even in their hand or a part of their position (like a DE who got a sack). I thought each position would have their own type of celebrations that you expect to see from their position.

    10. Franchise mode is a copy and paste

    11. Street seems like a neat idea but is a mess and not interesting. Make it like NFL Blitz instead.

    12. There is a weird delay in control input

    13. They actually added in the "Who Dey" chant that fans do after scoring drives at Bengals stadium. Why does it sound like it is two dudes and one woman half assing it while they are all numb from novacaine?

    14. The graphics are really really bad

    15. All the players seriously don't have a face scan still? This is a AAA game and every player has a HD picture taken by the league, which can at least be used for reference. Even if they reused prior face creations for future games, at least it would allow other players to have their heads in game. Inexcusable.

    Good

    1. I actually kind of like how when you switch players it takes a couple steps for you to get full control. It prevents me from accidentally Jenkins the player suddenly to the right.

    2. The "throwing out of sack" has been more realistic than Madden 20 where it was an auto sack. I've been able to throw it away as they would in real life during a sack out of pocket.

    3. The circle showing you where your zone is has been cool.

    4. I like how there are more moves for the defensive line

    Simulation Stats

    I'm 100% a Franchise Mode player when it comes to Madden, and one thing that's bothered me year and year again is the fact that the simulation stats are absolutely absurd. To me personally it has been one of the biggest, if not the biggest, issue with the game the past few years.

    I just downloaded the free trial for 21 and quickly simmed season to see what this year's version was like, and somehow it's even worse than 20 was?!

    QB passing stats I will admit seem to have been improved, it was nice to see more guys in the low 60s, and even high 50s for completion%, and there were a handful of guys with 15+ INTs. However the rushing stats are a joke. Lamar Jackson ran the ball 38 times for 207 yards. You'd think that after finally patching the QB stats last year and having Lamar as the cover athlete they wouldn't still have that be a problem this year.

    The top 3 leaders in rushing TDs were all backup RBs (Bernard, Gore, Mattison), which has always been an odd trend. Two of the league's two best receiving backs, McCaffrey and Kamara, COMBINED for 39 catches despite both playing 16 games each. The only player in the NFL to fumble more than 2 times all year was Peyton Barber (3).

    Once again not particularly talented slot receivers are for some reason crowding the receiving yards leaderboard. Crowder, Bourne, Snead, and Beasely were #1,2,5, and 6 respectively. Meanwhile legit #1 WRs were nowhere to be seen. Guys like Nuke, Golladay, Evans all finished with less than 800 yards despite playing full seasons. Eric Ebron led the league in catches and was the only TE to hit 900 yards. Neither Kelce or Kittle hit 800 despite playing full seasons.

    Defensive stats seemed alright, although sack totals are still low. Only 5 players hit 10, and all of them were among the league's most elite players

    Field goals are once again few and far between. No kicker hit 20. In fact, only 6 attempted 20. Lutz played all 16 games and attempted 8 total field goals.

    It just boggles my mind that there is nobody working on the game who looks at the stats generated and doesn't see an issue. No other sports game I have played has had an issue like this even remotely comparable, and yet it happens with Madden over and over. To me this is what truly shows they do not care about the product the release.

    So i was playing madden scored a TD with Hilton 40+ yards and next few plays it shows him getting a new deal now what popped in My head from the old days of madden (2010-2011) remember whenever your player breaks out for a long TD and commentary yell out "Get that man a new contract Touchdown!" 😂 man I miss that

    Why is this happening on Franchise?

    Played a full game for the AFC Championship. At the end I ended the game and instead of going to the main menu I was on the HOME SCREEN of my game console. What the absolute fuq is that?

    Not to mention every time I start "Madden 21" I am asked if I want to play the trial or buy the game (bought 2 versions of this shit). It works when selecting play.

    Madden isn't listening as many of you have stated. As an irregular Madden user, I wish they would fix this stuff. It sucks being interested in a football game and then just meeting the same terrible gameplay fails across ALL EA games.
