    Madden 12 has become more beloved to me seeing how it's last madden with a truly deep franchise mode. 9 years later Madden is taking baby steps to get back to that level and will probably take 2 more steps back with the jump to next gen.

    Why is that when this is brought up the developers essentially act as if what we are asking for is impossible despite other sports titles and past maddens being able to execute it? Honestly madden was basically the definitive video game series of my childhood and I just want it to get back to its peak.

    EA & Madden are so full of bs they will do anything to move units. Even adding a known racist Madden player known as "Volterax" as some sort of coach in Madden 21. And get this, It's a pre-order bonus! Isn't that great? Pay $100 to pre-order Madden 20.5 and get a racist coach too!!!

    While EA & Madden slap us in the face with yearly roster updates disguised as a new game, here's a message they put out in support of "positivity".

    It's clear what they say and what they do are two different things.

    Here's what this "coach" that Madden and EA are adding as a "pre-order bonus" said to a 16 year old he lost to.

    For a game that already has a negative community reaction with 16k likes to 39k dislikes on the new Madden 21 trailer they released a week ago, It's clear the majority of the community is tired of EA's BS.

    This will be a hard, hard pass for me. Sorry, but online play now's and MUT isn't what I consider to be fun, NCAA 14s popularity and the reasons why it is still great today (even without online play) is a great example.

    Just added two massive cornerstones to my Titans rebuild. Got the LT in the first round with the 15th pick. Then , with the steal of the draft picked what turned out to be the best QB in the class late in the 2nd round with the 60th pick overall. Absolutely stoked!

    Not really a suggestion since EA isn't going to change it, but do you all hate when the AI celebrates randomly? For instance, I'm winning 63-3 in the superbowl so I let them score a touchdown and their HB celebrates like he just won the superbowl, or I overthrow a pass and the DB starts acting like he was at fault... these minor celebrations ruin blowouts and are really annoying.

    I wrote down some ideas for abilities based on the players personality.

    Personality Abilities

    • Mentorship * Players in the same position group (or complimentary group) boost in overall or dev traits * For more experienced players (Larry Fitz, Drew Brees) * Gained from receiving awards, pro bowls, etc

    • Apprentice * Develops quicker when paired with mentor in same position group or complimentary group (Taysom Hill with Drew Brees)

    • Competitor * Boosts in abilities/overall when others in same position group are higher in overall

    • Product of the system * Boost in abilities/overall when paired with certain playbooks/schemes (Brady with Belichick)

    • Confidence * Similar to morale, more for rookie/inexperienced players or players switching positions or teams, possibly messing up assignments or taking longer to get plays on audibles * Helps to discourage players who will trade to get large quantities of draft picks

    • Beef * Set player rivalries * Could be positive or toxic as competitors or shying away depending on team chemistry * Raised performance levels and easier to get into the zone when playing against another player that they have beef with * Could be created by 1 dominating performance, going to rival colleges, playing in the same division, or expressive personalities in a close game

    • Gravity (Primarily DL or receivers) * Requires constant attention, may not be making every play but frees up others to get loose

    I thought some of these could be fun and help make the players feel more true to themselves.

    Year 3, franchise mode. Stefon Diggs catches 15 passes, 380 yards, 4TDs. Breaks the record for most reception yards in a game. ..... ......

    Absolutely no mention of it anywhere. Charles Davis continues to ramble on about his band teacher for 3 plays straight, Brandon Gaudin is completely oblivious to anything on field, no post game interview with that random reporter, no highlights in the "newsfeed" nothing other than a random "thank you for getting me involved" from the scenario engine.

    This game is seriously sad.

    Oh, and since stat tracking doesn't carry over year by year, everything will be forgotten by the 2022 season.
