Situational Set Up needs to return in CFM

About a month away.... starting to think we’re not getting any new franchise changes and the video was to just stop the #fixmaddenfranchise from trending.

Little things that suck abt franchise (pt.3)

    Posted: 22 Jul 2020 01:14 PM PDT

    • Long snappers, Gunners/specialists aren't in madden. Slater is cut because he has trash WR ratings. All long snappers are 40 ovr TEs and get cut immediately as well.

    • CPU never misses a field goal under 50 yards, unless their kicker has a weak leg against wind, or if the kick is blocked. It is IMPOSSIBLE for the CPU to miss chip shots, unlike IRL.

    • You can't retire jersey numbers. This causes low level players to have Joe Montana's number and unless you change it every time (annoying) then it breaks immersion. If I draft a superstar QB and he retires a hall of famer I wanna retire his number.

    • Gadget players are never in draft classes. No Braxton Millers, and every non QB has minus 50 throw power. Sucks if you wanna actually have a creative offense, since auto gen players are so 1 dimensional.

    • Speaking of 1 dimensional. You know the draft story that talks about a player winning the heisman playing both offense and defense, at WR and CB. Idk how common it is but it's still in the game. Well after he gets drafted as a WR I will always check his defensive stats. Guess what, he has 30 man and zone. For someone who won the heisman playing both positions. Another example of draft stories not properly reflecting the players.

    • Injuries are random, so it breaks realism. When RG3 is my starter in preseason he'll get hurt. And realistically it would have a higher chance to be a knee injury. But no. If madden would have hot spots like 2k does then that would make you feel the difference between a player with a bad knee, and a player with 7 concussions. I get that they can't add concussions, I'll let it slide. With each injury, the probability of getting the same injury again should increase. It shouldn't be random.

    • Practice mode has players in their full uniform, not practice jerseys. There are no practice injuries like in real life. Guys tear their ACL in practice often, and practice injuries are a huge part of the NFL. Not everyone gets injured directly in game.

    • Replacement head coaches have the same names since M25. Matt Hedrick LOL. His name was in madden 5 years ago. The scouts are still the same with the same name. Dan fucking Winters. Trainers are all still EA interns for some reason.

    • Coach XP packages are the same they've been since M13. Each coach feels the same. There's no difference between Pete Carroll and Matt Patricia in Madden.

    • Scenarios have dialogue that doesn't fit. Apparently my star DE doesn't deserve a 5th year option bc "he never sees the field".

    • Free Agency is way oversimplified. You can see another teams bid and know the exact amount to give a player for them to sign. IRL teams have barely a rough estimate what other teams are offering. It's unrealistic for me to know the exact offer that every other team is making. Where's the chaos. The fog of war aspect of free agency is missing.

    • Speaking of Fog of War. I want that implemented more. If I draft a rookie that I didn't scout, then I shouldn't know his ratings. It would be like if a GM picked a random player from a Bingo game and immediately knew all of his strengths. Not realistic.

    • Relocation teams are the same since M25. Also, the ingame commentary is lackluster for relocation teams. "We are set for this division matchup, between the Home Team, and the Oakland Raiders"

    • No team column in player stats

    • As a player, if you retire, the game will say "Unscouted. Unnoticed. Undrafted" when I'm a first round pick. Nice Job Madden. Way to break immersion once again.

    • As a player, I have no leverage for contract negotiations. It's either accept the shit the team gives me, or test FA, which will probably cause me to retire since sometimes they don't even offer you contracts in FA. If FOTF is like this in M21, I guarantee you the mode is gonna suck.

    • The background of my coach is the same 10 second loop. It gets annoying. The only cool thing is the SB trophy in the background. Also, my player needs to get off his phone. That shits annoying. Literally a 15 second clip of him in the locker room on his phone, on loop. I'd rather the news be on the front screen instead of this repeating garbage. At least then I could see how the Browns got to the Super Bowl, or see major retirements without having to scroll 3 menus. Madden 25 had a great news section. Bring that back.

Best simulation football game on the market

    Posted: 22 Jul 2020 05:28 PM PDT

I still can’t believe madden is so lazy they won’t even add a separate long snapper position so they just mark them as 40 OVR TE and call it a day.

    Posted: 22 Jul 2020 10:33 PM PDT

Obviously it's a small detail that goes unnoticed by the casual fan but it's so annoying seeing a whole ass position being ignored by a NFL sim game. Like I said it's just a small detail but unfortunately the game is as bad as it is because of how many small details the devs refuse to fix

Under 1,000 rushing yards, 4th in mvp voting

    Posted: 22 Jul 2020 05:19 PM PDT

This has been the most annoying thing to me about franchise mode. In literally every other sports game you can edit team colors, logos, uniforms and stadiums. Why hasn’t EA added these features to madden?

    Posted: 22 Jul 2020 10:06 AM PDT

Tired of these animations....and for some reason everyone on offense is constantly fumbling the ball....

    Posted: 22 Jul 2020 06:54 AM PDT

Even NFL.com joins the bandwagon on terrible M21 ratings

    Posted: 22 Jul 2020 04:17 PM PDT

“Fumbled” on a kick return in the Super bowl tied 27-27 with 33 seconds left, and the Booth doesn’t feel a need to challenge this.... I guess I should know better than to expect them to but wtf this game is so ass

And kids, this is why you should always kneel it out.

    Posted: 22 Jul 2020 11:32 AM PDT

Does anyone notice how when you sim seasons in franchise mode, most of the time your team does better with a lower ovr QB (75 or less) than a high ovr QB (90+)

The weirdest play in my 15 years of playing Madden.

    Posted: 22 Jul 2020 08:28 PM PDT

It is sad that I enjoy playing NCAA Football 14 more than the seven-year-newer M20 on a better console.

    Posted: 23 Jul 2020 01:59 AM PDT

Madden was the first game I ever played, and I have played it every single year up until this point. The disappointment I got from spamming Madden 20 beta codes from twitter to pay $60 for this garbage of a game is something I never would ever think would happen.

It sucks that a game series has transgressed so badly that it's own diehard fans are hating it. Sucks even more that EA is either too stupid to realize, or even worse, simply doesn't care.

I'm legit not buying a Madden this year (first time but hopefully not the last time) and I'm going to enjoy playing a football game that isn't garbage.

    Cheers, EA 🖕

    Holding Out!

    Posted: 22 Jul 2020 09:52 AM PDT

For the first time since Madden 01, I will not be purchasing the new Madden. I know I'm only one person and I know how hard it is because there's no other football fix on the market but I just cannot justify giving them my money again, when they flat out refuse to fix the parts of the game that are important to me. I hope others will be strong enough to follow suit! #FixMaddenFranchise

Madden 08 on the PS2 puts current Madden generation to SHAME. 12 years old and better.

    Posted: 23 Jul 2020 12:34 AM PDT

Its a shame that a game that was made 12 years ago and 2 console generations before the current generation had more things offered. Tiburon pushed the PS2 to the limits with the options gamers can use. Formation shifting, Situational SetUp, Hall of Fame career, All Time Teams, Offensive line blocking control, Create a Team, Fan, Playbook, setting up 16 man tournaments etc... EA takes things out, wait a couple of years then say we have a NEW feature when its the same thing from long ago done terribly. Its all about slot machine MUT cards being bought by little Billy...turning kids into gamblers with their parents credit cards to please stock holders to meet profit margins...smh.
