Quite possibly the worst QB draft class i’ve seen playing franchise

Me considering pointing out one of the few good features Madden has

Little things abt Franchise mode that suck (pt. 2)

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 04:58 PM PDT

    • Wayyyy to many auto gen Qbs get Aaron Rodgers throwing motion. My 55 ovr normal dev has it, my 57 rookie has it. My starter also has it. In other franchises I've also noticed this too.

    • CPU progression only for scheme fits or top archetype. This often causes players with 95 pass block and 60 run block. Also high zone, but 60 man.

    • Late round picks get cut on other teams, so CPU never develops their drafted rookies

    • A QB can regress to 55 ovr and still not retire. An example is Matt Ryan a few years in. Also Aaron Rodgers. Superstar players don't keep playing if they have lost all of their skill. Especially if their skill is comparable to a practice squad player.

    • CPU roster management is the same no matter what. 10 Olinemen, 3 MLBs (regardless of scheme), and don't build roster according to scheme. Why does the CPU draft Pass Coverage linebackers to play LOLB in a 3-4?

    • Twitter feed has the same ppl as it has since M13. Skip Bayless, Todd McShay, Peter Schrager, etc. This makes everything very repetitive and scripted.

    • Playoff tiebreakers aren't like real life.... They use Points For and Points Allowed, instead of strength of schedule, common opponents, etc.

    • Too many ties in simulation. Why are there teams with 2-4 ties every few years? One tie is hard enough to get IRL.

    • CB development is based on tackling instead of INTs, so many shutdown corners will never upgrade development since they get many picks, but not 100+ tackles. This issue allowed for development to go down in M19, and instead of just making it based on INTs, they decided to remove dev trait regression all together in M20.

    • Drafting is currently way too easy. One look at true talent ranking and you know their overall. No background checks, combine interviews, Pro day numbers, and injury history. And since you can't scout for injury, you can draft a stud RB, but then realize he only has 84 injury. Maybe if we knew his injury rating we wouldn't draft an injury prone RB!!!!! GMs IRL wouldn't draft someone unless they passed injury evaluations.

    • RBs still get injured way too often. Olinemen never get injured, and if they do it's something laughable like broken ribs.

    • An injured player in game will hold his wrist after the play, when the injury isn't at that spot. Things like this break immersion when my guy with a broken collarbone is holding his wrist.

    • The frequency of draftable pass coverage/run stopping OLB's is extremely low. Many years there isn't a single draftable guy, since they are mostly power rushers and speed rushers.

    • You can't match an offer when a practice squad player is signed by another team. It's like restricted free agents, you can match the deal. Speaking of RFA's.....

    • There aren't RFA's or Exclusive rights free agents. This is in the NFL and is an important factor in FA every year, yet isn't in madden.

    • Incentives aren't in contracts. IRL incentives make players on good teams get payed more. If you lead your team to the SB you would get an incentive IRL. Not in madden.....

    • Retired players eat up cap space, even if it's base salary. IRL unless it's guaranteed money, you won't have dead cap for a retired player.

Alex Smith Fairytales.. did an online franchise with friends starting from 2003 roster on. None of us are the jaguars and none of us played with Alex Smith on our team (I’m the commissioner and he was not edited either). Love to see the guy succeed even in a sim

Just realised today that lateraling the ball after an int results in an illegal forward pass

When all you want in life is the ability to play with Avery Duhon in Madden 21. Man has escape artist, hot route master, and Bazooka...definition of unstoppable.

When you're building up a team in franchise, do you go offense or defense first? Who are some stud players you've found/ traded for this year?

Can EA actually let me pick the kickoff return I want

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 11:13 PM PDT

This is such a small thing, but it's something that's always confused me. Why is it that on kickoffs, you don't get an option for Return Left, Return Middle, and Return Right every time? It's so annoying when I'm facing someone who is either suck kicking it kicking off far to the other side every time but I can't pick the return that will actually let me get blocks. It's caused fumbles cause I believe going down or out of bounds is for p*ssies😂
