    There's a million things I could bitch about in this game, let's face it, it's trash. Can't wait for another company to make a football game to escape this garbage. I'm convinced the developers of this game are purposely making the clock rundown as shitty as possible. Does anyone else notice how shitty it is?

    Like try running a two minute offence, impossible. Complete a pass with 20 seconds left and the clock will run out. They will still give you like 4 seconds at the line though where you can't snap the ball and have to watch the last 4 seconds run off the clock. Or before the two minute warning you run the ball, except after the run the clock stops so you can choose a play. Sometimes I forget the clock is running so I spend a bit of time trying to pick a good play. Only for the second after I choose it to have the clock completely run out. I swear to god I don't know how they could do this without realizing how much of a piss off it is. Sometimes to add salt to the wound they will stop the clock so you can pick a play with like 12 seconds left, and then run the clock down to 4 seconds so you can watch your qb walk to the line with not quite enough time to snap it. Happens literally every game multiple times shit is fucking ridiculous.

    People will talk about how a WR/CB will get caught by a linemen a la Larry Allen. The common work around is to lower speed threshold so fast guys feel faster and slow guys feel slower.

    But is that really simulation? Speedy WR's aren't necessarily dominating the league, and linebackers have maintained their starting jobs. Every team seems to have a starter with low speed in Madden. Daniel Sorensen and TaShaun Gipson are two starting safeties that come to mind. It's not like they're only allowed to cover the hard flat in their defense. So why should I have to cut slow players and sign track guys in FA?

    Believe me, if it was that easy to send a speedster on a streak and have him expose a soft spot in coverage, all NFL teams would do it. There's not a whole lot of separation between fast and slow in the NFL.

    So debate me here, how ridiculous would it be to set the min speed threshold to about 87-ish?

    You'll still know who the fast guys are, but football IQ, awareness and experience should still have a place on the field. It's not like teams will drop a 79 SPD TE, DE, or LB for someone with better wheels. Power RB's and Possession WR's are a valuable part of an NFL offense. Some QB's just have an adrenaline rush and run faster than they should. I've seen guys like Carson Palmer and Drew Brees use dad strength to hit 18 MPH.
