| Why aren't added X-Factors working in Franchise? Posted: 18 Oct 2019 10:05 AM PDT I tried to start a new Franchise mode yesterday, after the new updates, and couldn't get any of the new X-Factors to show up correctly. I tried Cloud and Offline franchise mode. The X-Factor shows up as being "unlocked" but the players don't have a zone ability, and the Superstar abilities they have in Play Now mode don't show up in Franchise mode. So like T.Y. Hilton has Route Technician and Double Move Elite in Play Now. When I start Franchise mode, he loses his zone ability and his superstar traits is Streak specialist. I tried to switch him from being Superstar X-Factor to Normal or Star then back to X-Factor to see if it would reset, but then his zone ability changes from RAC Em Up to Double Me. This is impacting anyone who was added as an X-Factor after the game was released. So Keenan Allen, T.Y. Hilton, Jaire Alexander, Chris Jones and Dalvin Cook. Anyone else running into this? And is there a fix? I'd really like to use Dalvin Cook, with his correct zone abilities, in my franchise mode [link] [comments] | ||

| Doing my first rebuild of a team. How do I put myself in the best position to succeed? Posted: 18 Oct 2019 07:59 AM PDT Last night I started my first full rebuild of a team. I've played Madden for 15 years or so and always played franchise with the cap off because as a kid, I didn't want to worry about that stuff and I didn't ever really decide to change it. Now, I finally decided to take on the challenge of a full rebuild with salary cap, injuries, trade deadline, coach firing, etc all on. No excuses or cheap tricks. I chose the Giants. I really like their cap space, a young QB to develop, a star to rely on with Saquon, a young safety net in Evan Engram. I started off getting rid of expensive vets that don't fit my rebuild. I traded Janoris Jenkins and Golden Tate for picks. I looked at the trade block to see if there were any young guys worth trading for. I found two young CB's above 75 I went and got for cheap. I started the year 0-2. Main issue was the line. It actually got Jones hurt and broke his thumb so had to ride with Eli. The interior of the line was getting blown up every play. I can't develop a QB if he can't stay upright. For some reason, the Colts don't value Quenton Nelson very much so I was able to get him for almost nothing. Kevin Zeitler actually has a higher overall as a C so I moved him inside, moved Will Hernandez to the right side and then Nelson at his natural position. It made SO MUCH difference. The interior held up so well but really showed the deficiencies at the tackle spots. I only picked up a couple free agents. I signed Eric Berry to plug in next to Peppers and then some OL depth. Berry wasn't making a huge difference. For some reason, guards are not hard to trade for. The Cowboys took Berry and a 4th for Zach Martin. I know I'm good at the guard spot so I got creative and plugged him in at RT where he's still a 96 and still relatively young with room to develop. I feel good with investing in my OL. Still have $46 mil in space. Defense is lacking though. Should I be focusing the rest of the space on the defense? How would you guys handle this? [link] [comments] | ||

I know 20 sacks is supposed to be rare but for me I rarely get someone who can average 10-15 sacks. I try my best to match players to the scheme so I'm not sure where I'm going wrong. It makes no sense, I've been a mid 80's overall team for the past 4 years and I haven't been able to have a season any better than 7-9. Am I doing anything wrong? Open teams are the Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins (Tunsil and Fitzpatrick are still on the team) Looking for active users. We tightened up this year and cut some dead weight along with losing a few members to upper education. Most of us are players that play MUT also but enjoy our CFM because we have a place to have fun and avoid most of the meta and other stuff that is a part of playing MUT in comp mode. Like the title says we play simish meaning we play on sim but when it comes to rules we don't have a ton and try to leave gameplay mostly open to the players without requiring players to conform to how we think they should play. In my opinion the style of the league is alot closer to sim than to MUT. All we ask of players is to stay active, add groupme for communication, and to just have fun. If you are a die hard sim style player that likes rules on how to play the game such as minimums and maximum of plays this league isn't for you. If you are a MUT die hard that likes to cheese and glitch out the AI this league isn't for you either.
