Posted: 02 Aug 2020 09:14 AM PDT Abilities currently in game are mostly not realistic. Clint says they are all perfectly realistic. How is Pocket, Roaming, Inside, Sideline, Dashing deadeye realistic. Tom Brady doesn't make 100% of passes in the pocket. Yet in madden, unless he is outside the pocket, or getting pressured, he will make EVERY PASS NO MATTER WHAT. That's not realistic. I'll play a full game, and my Brady has a 100% completion. Not bc Im cheesing, but because he literally never misses. I could be on All Madden, and he will still never miss. Nothing should ever be guaranteed. Not a pass, a juke, a catch, a power move, a tackle. Definitely not a hit stick. CPU with enforcer will hit stick you EVERY TACKLE. That isn't realistic at all. Mossed isn't realistic, Avalanche isn't realistic, Deadeyes aren't realistic. Even Pat Mahomes misses throws on the run IRL, yet in madden he literally CANT bc of his deadeye abilities. Keep HRM, Conductor, Coverage abilities, Blocking abilities, but they need to rework many abilities. I'm disappointed, I like abilities and what they are supposed to do, but until they get rid of these "guaranteed abilities" it will never be realistic. Let me pick my abilities in franchise so my players don't get these broken abilities. Instead of making ratings matter more, they are adding superhuman abilities that abuse already broken game mechanics. For every good ability like HRM, there is an OP ability like Enforcer. I'm having a lot of fun with a Madden 20 Expansion Franchise right now -- here's how I'm doing it Posted: 02 Aug 2020 12:01 PM PDT Howdy folks! I, like many people, am not planning on buying Madden 21, but I like franchise and I like getting creative to make franchise more interesting. You can only do a Lions rebuild so many times before it gets stale, so I wanted something interesting to do. (This post is long as hell; I wanted to be thorough in explaining my methodology. Apologies.) Expansion game modes, in any sports game that has them, are always my favorite. I love building my team from the absolute bottom-up. Madden, obviously, doesn't have this feature, which has always frustrated me. I've thought of ways to do an expansion team challenge, and this week I finally bolted down my house rules, derived from the expansion draft that the Texans had in 2002. I'm 8 games into my first season with my team and it's most fun on Madden I've had in a long time, so I wanted to share my methodology for other people who might be interested. SETUP 1) Select the most recent Madden 20 roster -- I guess from Super Bowl week? -- and start an offline franchise as an owner at Week 1 of the 2019 season. I chose the Washington team as my "expansion" candidate since their mascot is changing and because I wanted to move the team to Toronto (the Mounties are my personal favorite relocation jersey/logo. Dark blue, bright red, and bright yellow piping! It's great!). 2) Turn injuries OFF, trade deadline OFF, and set trades to HUMAN ONLY. This will be important for our expansion draft later. 3) Set all your XP sliders to 0%. This is really important! The end-of-year roster already has a year of progression in it, and I don't want players to be over-powered. Set them to your preferred level once the next season starts. 4) Keep your starting roster the same, but go into your team schedule and force all of your losses. Expansion teams get the first pick in the draft, and we're gonna be simulating that by making our starting team go 0-16. From here, sim your way through your first season. As you go, scout players (I used a generated class but obviously do whatever you like) and go through the steps of relocation. Once you get to Week 17, we're starting the expansion draft process. EXPANSION DRAFT RULES (adjust these as you like) When the Texans had their expansion draft, the rules were
So, the other teams offered up a mixture of veterans on big contracts who they were looking to get rid of and younger roster-bubble guys. In creating my expansion draft, I followed these rules, but added one:
I did this, mostly, to account for the new rookie wage scale and add some young roster filler to the draft. So, without further ado, here is my expansion draft! I bolded the players that I selected. You also have lots of options to build your team in different ways, which is awesome. I built my team towards a spread, short-passing game offense and a 3-4 zone defense. The last steps are: 1) Trade for the guys you draft (via moving them to kicker/punter and flipping them for the roster filler on your crappy 0-16) team -- I did this in Super Bowl weekend to avoid impact on the playoffs (the Super Bowl in my Franchise was Saints v Jaguars, so I ended up pulling Trey Hendrickson out of that game, but oh well). It's important to do this before free agency because teams would necessarily offer up players before then, and then likely make cap casualties if you don't decide to take the players they offer up. 2) Once you have all your draft players, cut all the guys on your original team's roster. Since I had Washington, that meant I had to (very painfully) cut Terry McLaurin and other super useful young guys on the original team. Oh well! Once you get past this last step, you're set! Just play Madden Franchise as you normally would. I found that cap space in Year 1 is hard since you're dealing with a lot of bloated vet contracts and also the penalties from cutting a bunch of guys, but I have a functional bottom-10 team in the league crafted entirely from spare parts. I only spent a moderate amount in my first free agency, mostly plugging up holes and adding vets/depth; my only big signing was Kendall Fuller. That was long as hell! Sorry if you read this whole-ass novel of a post. If you've wanted to do something like this, I hope it helps you get going! [link] [comments]

Posted: 02 Aug 2020 07:42 PM PDT Pro clubs is a really cool Fifa gamemode where you make a team with your friends and each of you pick a position, then you try to move up the divisions and win trophys. Its a great gamemode and i was wondering if we could get something similar in madden where you pick a position on offense and defence and then make a team with your friends. It should be easy as EA make fifa too, however they seem to focus more on ultimate team and dont care about other/new modes. [link] [comments]
looking at league stats for offline franchises Posted: 02 Aug 2020 06:57 PM PDT Q for offline franchise player: So far I've been playing in online franchise leagues that use sites like DaddyLeagues and GamerHuddle to host player stats and team data, etc, but I'm interested in setting up some offline leagues (there are a ton that offer super-realistic/accurate situations), but as far as I can tell, you can only import data to those third party site via the Companion App ... which only exports online/cloud league info. Soooo, what software/sites do y'all use to look at their league data once a season is underway? The Madden UI is pretty terrible for that, and I imagine most people don't do analytics from within the game, right? Am I missing a way to dive into the stats in if you're playing offline? I lost in the CFP for the first time ever in Madden 20 FOTF Posted: 03 Aug 2020 12:35 AM PDT So tonight I started another FOTF (Face of the Franchise) and while the two college games you play are typically pretty easy, I found myself struggling a lot. I was playing as the Florida State Seminoles against the Florida Gators in the semifinals. I got a good lead in the 4th but Florida bounced back and sent us into OT. This OT went on F O R E V E R. Their defense couldnt stop me but my defense could NOT stop them (I played Offense Only so the defense WAS simulated, but still weird). It was like the game was DETERMINED to make sure I lost it. The score got all the way up to 101-94. At that point I had a BS fumble and my player straight up refused to pick the ball back up even though there was no one around him. So the game was over and for the first time ever... I lost in college. It was interesting seeing a couple cutscenes that I hadn't seen before at least. And while I am a bit heated, I'm just baffled by the whole experience. Its like I lost the game before it started. Anyone else have a weird FOTF experience like this? Also just biding my time until Madden 21, if I even buy it. RB and WR in FOTF sounds fun at least. [link] [comments]

What do you guys do about play spammers on H2H? Posted: 02 Aug 2020 08:08 PM PDT Title. Every other H2H game is some guy spamming a broken defensive blitz or OP route combo from Youtube. I'd like to do some actual playcalling instead of being restricted to the 2-3 plays that counter the spam plays the whole game. On a related note, hit me up if you have a spot on a realistic Online Franchise (Xbox). [link] [comments]

Is mossed even a good X factor? Posted: 02 Aug 2020 11:13 PM PDT I feel like it's super hard to activate, and even once you do get it activated, when am I going to get a 55+ yard reception? I don't think most QBs can even throw that far [link] [comments]
I’m late to the party, but what gives? Posted: 02 Aug 2020 11:06 PM PDT Finally decided to give 20 a shot, and I can not, for the life of me, get my team to play defense in the first QB1 game. They will literally run away from the WR to give up open deep routes and 1 shot bombs. I've attempted 4 games and every game is the same. Every drive ends up with a 50 yard bomb for a td. Posted: 02 Aug 2020 11:04 PM PDT We are looking for someone who wants to get some practise in on writing up weekly reports for our Madden League to create a bit of atmosphere between the teams , watch a few games on Twitch and give us the low down on who is doing what. A beat writer if you will for our league we are a UK time zone league although we have so far 9 different nationalities and of course if he plays even better ... [link] [comments] |
