This guy I’m playing xYoungKivx is mad I’m beating him so he has taken multiple delay of game penalties to glitch the game. Now I’m stuck in this screen and can’t do anything. It would be amazing if EA would fix stupid crap like this that ruins the online experience.

[PS4] [21/32] Recruiting for Pardon My League Year 3 Week 1

    Posted: 17 Nov 2020 09:03 PM PST

    Hi Everyone,

First things first the PML is anything but ordinary. A few things we do to differentiate ourselves is Create Custom draft classes with reincarnations of NFL legends former stand out players and legendary busts, which creates a knowledge gap in the draft process past just hitting X 3 times. We believe it keeps the game fresh with players that we may never have gotten to play with before as well as keeping the lower end players always interested because one draft can turn a team around in a way that a regular madden draft rarely can due to the increased talents in the Legendary players. Here I have the roster of the players that were added to the last draft.

    Sterling Sharpe

    Shannon Sharpe

    Eli Manning

    Tony Romo

    Ryan Fitzpatrick

    Legarrette Blount

    Ted Ginn Jr

    Antwaan Randle El

    Charles "Peanut" Tillman

    Lofa Tatupu

    Jason Sehorn

    Matt Birk

    David Carr

    Pernell McPhee

    Eric Weddle

    Clay Mattews

    Adam Timmerman

    Jon Runyan

    Brian Waters

    Dave Casper

    Trent Richardson

    Charles Rogers

    Vernon Gholston

    Rob Ninkovich

    Jordan Gross

    Jason Elam

This next draft we have upcoming is going to be our best and biggest yet with upwards of 25 players and some of the brightest stars of the leagues past history.

Next thing up is that last year in the 6 seasons we played, we had 4 different Superbowl winners. So parity is something we strive to keep. We actively work together to make everyone in the league a better madden player. We are a place for players of any skill level. With that being said we do have a set of rules that puts us firmly into the Simcade style of league. We aren't strictly a sim league as we like to give everyone as much control of their team as possible because we think it's more fun that way. However, we aren't a full on run the same play back to back to back MUT league either. This is the header of our league rules

"We are different than your typical sim league. We don't have a lot of 4th down rules, nor do we require you to look at the rule books while you play your game how you like, but any spamming of plays, stat padding, nano blitzing or any other form of glitch play is open to interpretation and then punishment by the rest of the league. "

If you think that fits you then please continue reading.

Moreover we have a wide range of people in the league ranging from 18 all the way up to 40+ all at varying skill levels, so it's possible to find someone you like to talk to or play with no mater who you are. We have been running in some form or another for three maddens now and definitely have a core group of guys that will be playing until the end of the madden cycle. We definitely are also open to players who have very little experience with playing against other users that want to try it out, one of our commishes started that way and has loved playing with us ever since.

Thirdly we have instituted a system of All-Pro awards that awards good play that doesn't necessarily get recognized by maddens Award system. Think Damon Harrison and the Pro Bowl. Two of our commissioners pour over the stats and run them through an algorithm for each position to reward players who fit what we thought is the best of each position. Players who win league awards (excluding the pro-bowl) are non-eligible as the idea is to reward people who haven't already been rewarded.

Lastly we genuinely like to have fun in our league, and enjoy playing with each other. There are rivalries and sometimes people may not get along, but at the end of it all it's madden, and it's just a game.

Now that we've gone through that here are the open teams. We are in Week 1 of Season 3 currently.

    Giants

Fairly stock team. Slayton is up to an 85, Daniel Jones is a 76, Engram is a 91, and as always Human Joystick Capable Saquon Barkley at a 96

    Titans

Also fairly stock, a couple of second year 77 ovr d-lineman (one superstar) join King Henry and Co.

    Steelers

Matt Stafford replaced a retired Ben Roethlisberger, Chase Claypool was traded, aside from that it's the Steelers.

    Bears

Trubisky is the starter at 78, Roquan Smith is playing SS at 93 (SSXF), Eddie Goldman (SS), Khalil Mack (SSXF), and Eddie Goldman (S) were joined by rookie Antrelle Rolle 78 (SS). Defense is set, offense needs help.

    Raiders

Raiders are pretty stock, this is a tough division definitely not for the faint of heart.

    Browns

Playoff team, Baker is an 82, RB stable of Nick Chubb 97 (SSXF), Kareem Hunt 90 (S), and rookie Maurice Jones-Drew 74 (S). WRs Odell 95 (SSXF), Jarvis 86 (S), Robert Woods 85 (S). Austin Hooper 92 (S). On defense Myles Garrett headlines at 97 (SSXF) while being joined by Superstars Mack Wilson at ROLB and Karl Joseph at SS.

    Saints

First note Alvin Kamara was traded instead of re-signed. Taking over for Drew Brees is second year 80 ovr superstar Donovan McNabb. Replacing Kamara is Royce Freeman. Matt Milano is 84 OVR SSXF now, and replacing Demario Davis is rookie 78 overall star dev Tamba Hali. Aside from that the usual saints suspects are all there.

    49ers

Jimmy G is still QB at 83 overall and 30 years old. Raheem Mostert left in FA and was replaced by Tarik Cohen, and a generated 76 ovr rookie. Juicy J is still there at FB, Deebo and Aiyuk were joined by MVS at WR, and of course the crown 99 OVR SSXF George Kittle at TE. On defense the only real hole is Richard Sherman sized at CB after he left. You have 3 SSXF in Bosa, Alexander, and Warner, as well as Armstead at SS. This team could be fighting for a wildcard spot.

    Falcons

Matty Ice still at the helm at 37 years old, basically a stock team all the way around. Needs a rebuild, but in a good division for that.

    Eagles

Carson Wentz is 86 OVR SS, and signed. Miles Sanders is 89 OVR SSXF. At WR you have Reagor at 84, Jeffery at 80, Arcega-Whiteside at 76, and replacing DJax is second year Santana Moss at 75 OVR and 95 speed. Have both Ertz and Goedert. The rest are the usual suspects, joined by a couple of young linebackers in the mid 70s.

    Bengals

Burrow is up to 85 ovr at SS, Mixon and AJ Green were not re-signed, and replaced with MG3 83 (S), Jordan Howard 82 (S), Mike Williams 83 (S). Offense has plenty of weapons and a decent line to let Burrow cook. On defense Shaq Lawson was replaced with SSXF Chandler Jones at 93 OVR, and the rest are the usual suspects. Sneaky good roster.

Please reach out for any questions you might have.

    Madden 21 fumble problems?

    Unpopular opinion time

    Posted: 17 Nov 2020 05:41 PM PST

Ok here's an unpopular opinion: I actually really like Madden 21. Yes, I know it's kind of a shit game, and EA isn't even trying any more, but I enjoy it a lot more than Madden 20. Face of the Franchise is better, I love the new pass rush moves, and I think it's overall more realistic. I can totally see why people hate it though lmao. Don't hate me

Though I thought last years Pro Bowl was bad, not just because of the game itself, but because Kobe also died that day, this game could somehow be worse. Lots of glitches likely. Maybe it’ll be okay tho.

Is Face of the Franchise Rigged?

    Posted: 17 Nov 2020 07:39 PM PST

E.g. are there certain games you're not supposed to win? The narrative going into my latest game was that I was old and washed up. Yet I threw for over 500 yards and 6 touchdowns in a 63-60 loss, and they announcers kept harping on how "the game was such a huge disappointment" and "this team has a serious decision to make at QB".

Are there certain games you can't win because that's how the story goes or what?

    nice.

    Posted: 17 Nov 2020 04:52 PM PST

I really, really, really hate that the commentators refuse to acknowledge record breaking stats.

    Posted: 17 Nov 2020 08:53 AM PST

So I took over for the bengals, for M20. I relocated them to Austin, changed the named to Desperados, but for some reason we are still the Bengals. Our first season we went 3-13-1 ( I simulated.) We Drafted Sam Ehlinger out of Texas. Traded away Andy Dalton to The Saints for Shaq Quarterman, and Sam played like shit. Despite Sam in my OTHER franchie playing like a God. We went 4-12 and drafted our franchise quarterback in Justin Fields out of THE Ohio State.

So what record breaking shit did they not mention in the final game?

Well, I broke the 5,000 yard make which is more passing yards than any other rookie and nothing. I finished off with 5,346 yards bypassing Brady, and having the third most passing yards in a single season, nothing. I also had tied 55 passing touchdowns, nothing. Broke the tie and finished with 56 passing touchdowns, again nothing.

My Tight end, My rookie Tight end finished the season 1,759 receiving yards (5th most in a single season via RY.) 26 receiving touchdowns breaking Randy Moss record, and not one fucking mention.

but at least I get to hear Charles Davis's annoying ass laugh every two minutes.

    What if...

    Posted: 17 Nov 2020 04:25 PM PST

What if the reason EA put out such a horrible product for Madden 21 on PS4/Xbox is due to their amazing overhaul and brand new features in Next Gen that will just absolutely blow our minds and include everything we've always asked for

Come on, of course they didn't fucking do that.

I'm 3-29 on Madden Online - The Reason Why May Surprise You!

    Posted: 17 Nov 2020 11:46 PM PST

I have played Madden on and off since Madden 2005, much of it being online gameplay. Most of it has been a great experience. But I quickly became habituated to grabbing the controller whenever I get a cool 30-60 minutes free. Usually, Madden is a good game to let off some steam and get some dopamine in.

Madden 21 is my least favourite H2H of all time. I actually don't mind the Franchise mode this year. It's largely the same as last year - and requires some tweaking of the options and the occasionally "Set Morale to 50". But the head to head is just not fun at all.

Like many here - I played football growing up from the age of 5 all throughout high school. And Madden is where I can pretend to be the coach and the GM. I can actually learn about the schemes and matchups. Now Madden has never been true realism, there is always a "Madden way to play" that would violate some real life rules and strategies. The saving grace is that when Madden was not realistic, it was at least fun. The gameplay adjustments have been so bizarre, even upon release, that it doesn't resemble real football nor is it very fun. There are times where I was up 21-0 in the second quarter but couldn't finish the game. Maybe it's because I'm getting older, but I just wanted to do something else so I quit. But because of my habituation and love for the franchise, I keep starting an online game - only to realize I'd rather be doing anything else.
