    Man is it just me or is there absolutely no joy in playing defence now in madden 21? User controlled defenders feel slow, weak and goofy, and I've had so many occasions where they just won't go for the tackle despite being right next to the ball carrier...

    a few real player examples to prove this:

    James Robinson - 4.64 time - 84 speed at launch

    Justin Herbert - 4.68/4.69 time - 82 speed at launch

    Jalen Hurts - 4.59 time - 86 speed at launch

    Henry Ruggs - 4.27 time - 98 speed at launch

    Jerry Jeudy - 4.46 time - 91 speed at launch

    i can go on and on, but u get the point. it's not random, it's calculated, feel free to use this as a guide to predicting rookie speed ratings you are drafting in your franchise modes, works great. : )

    P.S. also this is why no players are under 50 speed anymore, it would be way too proportionally slow. Orlando brown ran a 4.85 40 yard dash and is the slowest player in the game with 50 speed, in older version's of madden he would be around 30-40 speed (35 or 36 going by this formula), yikes. Because of this, they set 50 as the minimum cap.

    Because of these linear calculations, it resulted in a change where positions like qb, kicker, punters, linemen, are faster than the older generations. We would never have a 90 speed d-lineman in the ps2 versions of madden, and it was rare to see any rb under 88 speed, now some rb's even reach speed's in the high 70's, and players like drew bledsoe would have speed in the 40's, they were statues in the pocket. go ahead and plug in a ps2 version of madden for yourself to see what i mean.

    New update for madden 21

    I just got online today, downloaded the new update and now everyone is running man coverage every play??? Literally everything is clamped. I threw a pick on a crossing route with Antonio brown like wtf. I don't want to have to spam mesh and have to run every play this is absurd.

    Corner routes barely work and are picked half the time, slants are clamped unless you have 20 seconds in the pocket. Wheel route/ pick combos don't work. Digs, outs, curls, and TE drags are literally the only thing working lol

    Just bought the madden 21 standard for ps5 which comes with both versions, PS4 and PS5. Both versions is downloading but which is which? Before you say go off the cover, when I went to the PS5 version on the PS store to download, it had the PS4 cover, and vice versa when selecting the PS4 version and it had the PS5 cover. So I am currently downloading both.

    Glitch or something?

    First Madden purchase in 7 years

    Had to finally give and get Madden21 for Ps4 my first one for the console, used to get Madden everyyear from 2002 (Culpepper)and then realized how awful the game was becoming in madden 09(Favre) imo. Anyways it wouldn't have felt right not to get madden for the ps4 and skip an entire generation. Last game I bought was Madden 25 (Sanders).

    Anyways super stoked, the game is currently installing I know there are issues with this game but I definitely think this will be an upgrade from Madden 25.

    My question to you guys is which mode should I start playing? I'm a bit of a trophy/achievement hunter. I was thinking MUT would.likely be where most of the grind for these trophies/achievements would be. But I figured I would ask the community.

    Okay so I'm gonna be honest. I don't play Madden, but my friend does and I thought it'd be a great idea to buy him a gift card for Christmas. Went to Amazon, got an e-gift card. Great! Except I made the mistake of purchasing the Madden 19 gift card instead of the 20... And I just checked and they don't allow refunds even if it hasn't been cashed in. I know Madden 2019 is old news and everyone plays 2020 but is there ANYONE that still plays 19? And would like a 2200 point gift card for like $10-$12?? I paid $20 for it. And this may SEEM like a scam but I genuinely messed up and I'd like to sell it for a discounted price to at least get a little bit of money back. Thanks!!

    I just got and PS5 and downloaded my free version of madden cause I bought a bundle with the PS4's version.

    Every time I look to go online I get a massage saying "The EA servers are not available at this time. Please try again later."

    I don't know if this is because they're actually down or if it's a bug. If someone can help me out that be great.
