    An old feature no one ever talks about, but I thought this was awesome. In madden 11 u used to b able to play AFL mode where it let u play games with all the old AFL teams with their old uniforms and u can play thro the game while everything looks vintage like it was actually played in the 60's.

    Anyone else tired of Madden. They have only taken out features and re-added some but somehow broken but still somehow don't have some simple things that should be like flea flickers. I want to play a game that plays as advertised. If a game is supposed to be simulation football it should be that way, not play like an arcade game. It's sad that we don't get that with every years version of Madden.

    Haas anyone heard anything about what will be in the new 2K game? I know it will be non simulation but I wonder if they could get around that and make it like all pro football 2k8 which is essentially the last great football game to come out...which is sad since that was well over ten years ago.

    Also I posted the first part of this video yesterday explaining all the negatives about the game and why it's In the state that it's unfortunately in. What do y'all think about this??

    The fact that there is no “trade finder” in franchise mode the way there is in 2K is absolutely ridiculous. So is the off-season and draft.

    I'll try to make each of these as short as possible but I'll probably end up ranting soscroll to the bottom if you don't care. I did an offline franchise the other day and am not having as much fun in it as I do in other games, like 2Ks myNBA for example. The roster management system is absolutely horrific. Want to trade a player? Put him on the trade block and wait for the 2nd 5th and 6th round pick offers to come rolling in! It is nearly impossible to get similar value in return back, or have a team willing to take on an expiring deal in exchange for something like draft capital. You mean to tell me I couldn't trade Julio (who was a 95 at the time) for Tyler boyd?? Madden logic for ya.

    The other issue I have is with the fantasy draft itself. The ratings are essentially meaningless. There are always 99s or high 90s left into the early rounds. Again, I know this is football and certain positions have more value than others, but it can be confusing to new players if they just draft best player available and their team ends up sucking. The other issue with the fantasy draft is it resets and changes all contracts. How does that make any sense? In 2k for example, I draft a decent amount of players with expiring deals and some young talent. I do this so if I want to make a move for a superstar, I can trade both very easily and free up space. This doesn't work in madden. It's very annoying.

    Then the off-season. I have been the leading offer and been rejected a few times which is a pain in the ass. There was one player I can't remember who was an 84 at like 25 years old, and I offered him significantly more than his own team did, I was the leader to get him, then he went back to his team when they weren't even in his top 3 offers. WTF? I will note this sometimes happens in 2K, but that's usually because of a cap space issue.

    The final point is the draft. The projections are so dumb. I had an early pick throughout one draft (pick 2) and there was one guy I wanted in the third round who was "projected" to go late in the third round who was graded way higher, like early first round grade. I figured he'd be there when I picked, since, yanno, second, and he was gone. I don't understand how he can be projected late third round and then be the first pick off the board in the third round. Wicked annoying.

    These are my main issues with franchise mode in madden. If you guys have anything to add or tips/advice/want to complain as well, let me know!

    TL:DR-no trade finder is dumb, AI is stupid sith offers, fantasy draft is stupid for resetting existing deals, free agency is extremely boring because of this, and drafting is a pain in the ass.
