    How to Override the "ignore punts within 20 yards" decision?

    Sorry if this has been addressed before, but Google and reddit search are a mess when you're trying to find a post about 2021 Madden.

    Is there a way to make your receiver grab any ball outside of the end zone? I've been fighting through to take control, but leaving it to the AI generally means a loss of at least twenty yards versus what a reasonable player would do. And the receiver still seems like he's allergic to pork, even when I'm directly controlling him.

    Following the Career of the Top 5 Picks in Madden 21

    Given the amount of 1st round busts in the last 10 years ( Jadeveon Clowney, John Ross, Jamies Winston, Josh Rosen, the list goes on and on) I thought it would intresting to follow the career of the top 5 picks in a (fictional) draft and see where they go.

    The Draft Order - Jaguars(3-13) Vikings (4-12) Broncos (4-12) Jets (5-11) Raiders (5-10-1)

    Draft Day.

    With the Number One Pick in the 2021 NFL draft the Jacksonville Jaguars select Devin McMurray (LE) out of Ole Miss. This was a curious pick as most mock drafts had thought they would go with a QB as well as the fact that they had a capable staring LE in Josh Allen (84ovr). At 6′ 6″ and 266 they get a Myles Garrett type of player.

    He is a 76ovr with 88 power moves with 82 speed and 78 strength. However he only has 68 Block Shedding. He will be the Rush DT for the Jaguars. He has a Normal Dev Trait.

    Year 1 - He had 19 tackles, 6TFL with 2 sacks on 320 snaps. He reached 77ovr.

    He had a disappointing season playing just 320 snaps and many in the NFL were calling him a bust. The team went 5-11 and missed the playoffs

    Year 2 - He had 4.5 sacks with 52 tackles and 16TFL's and played 768 snaps. Reached 79ovr

    After an average rookie campaign McMurray led the team in TFL's and had developed into a solid run stopper. The team went 8-8 and missed the playoffs

    Year 3 - He had 18TFL's with 54 tackles and 12.5 sacks playing over 110 snaps. Reached 81ovr as well as Star Dev.

    Year 3 was a big one for McMurray. He became the starting LE. The team went 3-13 and missed the playoffs. However he did make the ProBowl

    Year 4 - He had 55 tackles with 14 TFL's and 9 sacks. Went up to 82ovr.

    The team went 7-9 and missed the playoffs. He has 2 years left on his deal.

    Year 5 - He had just 3 sacks 47 tackles and 16 TFL's, playing 793 snaps. He is now 83ovr at 27 years of age.

    McMurray regressed heavily as a pass rusher posting just 3 sacks. The team went 5-11 and missed the playoffs. He is now going into his final year on his current deal.

    Year 6 - He had 5.5 sacks with 51 tackles and 18 TFL's.

    McMurray decided not to resign with the Jaguars and will now be a free agent. The team went 2-14 and missed the playoffs.

    He ended up signing with the Dallas Cowboys. He signed a 3 year deal worth just over 10M a year. He will be the staring LE in Dallas.

    Year 7 - He had a promising start to his career in Dallas. He posted 8 sacks with 12TFL's and 47 tackles. He is now a 85ovr. The Cowboys went 10-6 and made it to the Divisional Round losing to the Panthers. In his first 2 playoff appearances McMurray had 3 sacks and 2TFL's. He has now hit the age of regression in Madden.

    Year 8 - After a solid first season with Dallas McMurray slowed down. He only had 4 sacks with 15TFL's 55 total tackles as well as 1 forced fumble. He regressed to a 84ovr. The Cowboys went 10-6 and lost in the Wildcard round to the Falcons.

    Year 9 - He had just 1 sack with 11 TFL's and 49 tackles.

    Year 9 was stinky. The Cowboys went 8-8 and missed the playoffs. He is now 31 years old. He re-signed with Dallas on a 3 year deal worth about 11M a year. He regressed to a 83ovr.

    Year 10 - He posted 6.5 sacks with 10 TFL's and 46 tackles and 1 INT and 1 Safety. He will be going into his final year. The Cowboys went 11-5 and made it to the Conference Championship losing to the Saints. In the 3 playoff appearances he had 2 sacks with 7 TFL's and 9 tackles. He continues to regress now at 81ovr.

    Year 11- He had a ProBowl year with 11 sacks, 13TFl's and 55 tackles. He regressed to a 79ovr.

    The Cowboys went 10-6 and lost in the Divisional Round to the Seahawks.

    He was cut by the Cowboys after the season. He is 33 years old and 75ovr.

    After 12 seasons in the NFL, Devin McMurray retired.

    He had some great moments with a up and down career. He never got above 85ovr and Star Dev. He was a #1 pick who never got to more than average starter. Many in the NFL compared him to Jadeveon Clowney. Both were the #1 pick and both never reached their full potential.
