Something you don’t see in the new Madden games, rookie Ryan Matthews with a career ending injury in Madden 11. Wish they would bring career ending injuries back!

Been playing Madden 11 recently and this is the 2nd blocked FG I’ve gotten like this. Damn this game plays so good.

It’s pretty much a requirement to do this.

    Franchise length.

    Posted: 18 May 2021 03:28 PM PDT

I just finished a fully simmed franchise until owner retirement. Never got that far before. I always thought the franchise mode was 30 years...which I understood to mean 30 seasons. I was wrong. Instead of getting to do one last draft like I thought I would, I was forced to retire at the beginning of 2050. My only gripe is that I had 3 1st rounders for next year lol. Oh well. So 29 seasons? Seems like an odd number but I guess the excuse is that it is 30 years.

Do you think Trevor Lawrence will be the first rookie QB to start out at 80 overall?

    Posted: 18 May 2021 05:08 PM PDT

I know Joe Burrow started at 76 and he was pretty hyped by media and people(for good reason) but I feel like Trevor is seen as a better player than Joe is by a good majority of people. I personally think he'll probably start at a 78 or something like that.

My dad just beat me by a touchdown and he is bragging even though, on a punt, the returner did not put his hands up and my dad got a touchdown off that

why are auto generated classes so terrible?

    Posted: 18 May 2021 06:51 PM PDT

just had a draft where the top 30 players(overall wise) ALL had normal dev besides 1, who only had star. i understand there is things like breakout scenarios and such but its still a major issue to me.

Does playing offensive lineman "out of position" effect their play?

    Posted: 18 May 2021 12:17 PM PDT

I always felt like they only thing that mattered for lineman was their blocking, awareness, and athletic attributes. If there was a difference in one position to another, it was reflected in their ovr in depth chart, which is usually scheme related and minimal. I am 7-8 seasons deep in a connected franchise, 32 user. I tend to save cap by getting older lineman to fill holes on the line, especially since it's very tough to develop lineman. I've never payed much attention to position, just got the five best guys I could. I started to notice this year, I am getting AT LEAST two holding penalties a game. Towards the end of the year I would start to see crazy animations on interior line where it looks like both his inside lineman are just throwing my o lineman like Ragdolls. My guys aren't studs this year, mid to high 80s, so maybe they're just getting out played. I just wanted to hear some outside opinions on the matter , it may be the difference in me getting over the hump and getting a ring this game.
