What the “Home Field Advantage” SHOULD be:

    Posted: 13 Jul 2021 05:58 PM PDT

    • Opposing teams playing in Seattle, Buffalo or Kansas City cannot call audibles on 3rd or 4th down due to crowd noise. They also have a 1 second ball snap delay.

    • Opposing teams in every other stadium except for SoFi (if playing as the Chargers) or Cincinnati have a 50% chance of audible fail on 3rd or 4th down and have a .5 second ball snap delay.

    • Opposing teams playing in Cincinnati have a 25% chance of an audible fail on 3rd or 4th down.

    • if the wind is over 15 mph, or the temperature is below 40°F, the visiting team has decreased kicking/punting accuracy.

    • if it is raining, a team that plays in a dome has an increased chance (by 10%) of fumbling on any given play.

    • Any opposing team playing in Denver has a 5% decrease in stamina.

    • Outdoor teams playing in a dome have a 10% chance of an audible fail on any given play if the attendance is above 80%

    • any dome or warm-weather (SF, LAC, LAR, LV, ARZ, DAL, HOU, NO, ATL, TB, MIA, JAX) team playing in below-freezing temps have a 5% decrease in throw power, kick power, and catching (15% decrease if it is also snowing)

    • All home teams except the Chargers get a momentum boost for every 1st down

This is way closer to being realistic (I'm a chargers fan)

H2H: The Eagles are way too good.

    Posted: 13 Jul 2021 12:36 PM PDT

I feel like the Eagles are a great example of what's wrong with a lot of the game play in Madden. If you look at their ratings (75 OVR, 70 OFF, 73 DEF) you'd think hey this is a trash team. But my friend you would be wrong. The Eagles are somehow a top 5 team in h2h because they are able to exploit the things Madden makes OP: mobile QB, speed at skill positions, dominant players on both lines.

If I had a dollar for every time 71 overall Hurts threw an unimaginably perfect dime to one of their super fast but equally shitty WRs streaking past my better but not as fast DB I'd have a few hundred bucks I guess? Anyways, even though I wouldn't consider the Eagles to be an OP team they are 100% sooo much better than a 75 overall team because of how the game plays. Speed is always > route running. Fast RB and good OL, way too easy to run spam. Having trouble on D? Just blast through a triple team with Cox! Problem solved!

Let’s have a real discussion here all madden fans that want to fix the game

    Posted: 14 Jul 2021 04:19 AM PDT

Let's say you are given a team with the best software at EA along with the NFL license and all resources that they have how would you fix, change or improve the game from its current state to compare or even rise above older more successful madden games. Go into detail if you want I'd like to have a deep conversation as I used to be a Madden player and I still am a huge football fan and only want to see them game improve and not suffer from the greed and laziness that's been plaguing this game for decades

8 defenders covering two receivers, and they’re both open

    Posted: 13 Jul 2021 04:00 PM PDT

Holy shit, fuck 21's H2H. Not as bad as 20 but still pretty bad.

    Posted: 14 Jul 2021 12:14 AM PDT

I've never seen such non-skill in a mode where I can make adjustments and try to play with variety, but because people can all of a sudden pick up some easy plays and play hurry up, it makes Defense more difficult and annoying, meanwhile, I play offense and my QB will overthrow every fuckhead and fumble the ball without even scrambling. It's also really telling when I can beat the #9,#17 and top 100 ranked players but end up losing to some dude who only fucking played 20 games and is unranked using cheese and good teams.

Here's an example, I was on Defense and had a 4th down to try and stop, the dude throws to a guy who was about to either get hit or potentially be picked, but because the game decided to not let him drop it or you know have the DB's react to the throw, he catches it no problem through the fucking dudes leg. Meanwhile, I throw something and my guy will drop it if the other dude is even remotely close.

Another game, I was having a revenge game as the Vikings, and Cousins decides to overthrow OPEN receivers not once, but THREE FUCKING TIMES while standing still and having 0 pressure on 2 critical third downs. Meanwhile, Russell Wilson will just chuck the ball super accurately to any receiver 40 yards downfield like it's nothing. I can see why people play OP teams, makes people so much better without actually needing to do shit. There is no skill gap between top 100 and top 10000, it's just cheese, luck and good teams. I'm just super mad /rant

Do you guys think Madden Mobile is better than console

    Posted: 14 Jul 2021 04:15 AM PDT

Is there anyone on here that has played both I used to play madden mobile but I never spent money as many of the cash grab problems from ultimate team are seen there but while Mobile doesn't have as many options like franchise it is technically speaking free unlike the consoles version which you have to pay like 60-70 dollars for base edition with little to no new features year to year while trying to milk their fan base as much as possible now we both know the grind is crazy for both games and you can pay ridiculous amounts to get ahead in both but I personally feel that due to the game being free it's better although I don't condone the pay to win mentality especially with the console version offering basically nothing but a roster update I still think both games aren't great but I'd like to hear your opinion or what you'd change about both games

    Franchise Features

    Posted: 13 Jul 2021 10:24 PM PDT

With the addition of new Franchise feature Home Field Advantage for Madden 22 it got me thinking to what are some features you think should be added or brought back to future Madden games personally i think they should add the ability to let CPU offer you trades like they do in NBA 2K not just when you put players on the trade block i also think it would be cool if they enhanced the messaging feature with coaches and players with different scenarios maybe a scenario where a player has low morale and he will DM you requesting a trade or if your scout DMs you about a QB they saw in the combine and telling you to keep an eye out for him.

    Posted: 13 Jul 2021 05:34 PM PDT

Does anybody know if the new game will be cross-gen? I know cross-platform is probably too much to ask for from them, but will I be able to play with my friends who have the Xbox One if I have the Series X?

    Franchise as RB

    Posted: 13 Jul 2021 12:25 PM PDT

What's the best way/settings to do a franchise as an RB without just cheesing my way through it by calling a run play or calling for the pass cause the ai QB on my team can't do anything right, it seems. I know they have the full on the field control but I feel like that takes away from the solo player experience. Any tips?
