Madden 22 is so glitched my game now sounds like I’m watching gay porn

Please do not buy Madden 22. Its worse than last year.

    Posted: 12 Aug 2021 04:46 PM PDT

So I've spent about 5 hours playing today and so far I've encountered the same glitches from last year such as the one in Franchise where when you finish a game it takes you all the way back to the main menu. There is also a glitch where when you finish a Franchise game the servers crash and the game you finished doesn't count and you have to play it again.

Also, there are multiple glitches in Face of the Franchise such as teammates being invisible during the drills section at the start of FotF where you cannot even complete the drills because you have no one to pass the ball to. The game lags in responding to picking plays at random times and also the game sometimes won't even respond at all to button presses.

I know most play MUT but the game should still be a fully functioning game. Sure, Franchise looks better but the menus are slow to load and even in their response to your button presses. You can shine up a turd but it's still a turd and as such is the case again this year with Madden 22.

I urge people to please stop giving EA your money as they will never truly learn if they continue to rake in the money especially from modes like MUT. This is completely unacceptable and I am glad that as a reviewer I no longer have to purchase Madden because there are far better things I would rather give my money towards instead of a completely untested product.

I played a CPU franchise game and won 38-21, but the game says I am 0-1 and lost 21-0. Completely broken, beyond basic functionality. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!

Face of the Franchise is the single worst "rpg" ever made.

    Posted: 12 Aug 2021 09:39 PM PDT

I'm sure this will get deleted but I just want to rant about this game mode for a moment. Because it genuinely feels like EA thinks their user base are stupid and boring people. It's an insult to the idea of a story mode. And I know, who played Madden for the career mode. More people would if it wasn't an insult to human decency.

The entire experience is very hollow. You come into this Nike training camp expecting to play with the pros and be a bad ass. And then you do 6 drills where you juke a dude and then get you ass handed to you in the next set. Unavoidably so.

Then it's straight to cut scenes. No challenges. No free roam where you get to interact with this premium facility. Just boom here's some basic shit and let's jump into 400 cutscenes.

After your 400 cutscene experience you get to play the national championship playoffs. Last year the big complaint was that these games were two easy. 6 minute QTs on rookie mode, 107-0games. How did EA handle this massive problem in their story design... They shortened the fucking qts to 3 minutes and left everything else the same. It's still on all rookie. You still dominate the fuck out of it, but since the qts are short you don't score 107-0. Fucking brilliant.

It's insulting. I'm genuinely offended at what these people think humans enjoy. It's like they've never played a fucking video game in their life.

Moving on... After you complete youre cake walk national championship.. you go through a handful of "interviews" where you answer one question and that dictates where you go in the draft. For a story mode you really don't have much say so in how anything goes. You don't get to answer most of the questions asked to you at all. Radio interview. It's just a cut scene. Getting drafted and answering the draft question. Just a cut scene.

When you get drafted, unless you just tanked your fucking ass off where you go is predetermined. Jags, Jets, Bengals. Unless you somehow lose in the college playoffs, which I don't think is humanly possible. I'm pretty sure you could get set the controller down and you would still win.

It's just... Such a fucking let down. Like it's so empty, and hollow, and shallow. There's no fucking life to it. There's no joy to it. It's just cutscenes. People don't like to play unplayable cutscenes that's why the Telltale studios failed.

I remember playing these games back in the early 2000s, and those career modes were fun. It made me feel like I was actually a person in the NFL. This game mode doesn't do that. It's just a shitty slide into the standard game mode and it's lifeless.

Man EA as a company is pretty god damn useless when it comes to storylines. They just don't get what people enjoy about RPG elements. It's not cutscenes it's immersion and interactiveness. I'm sure this will be deleted but I just wanted to drunkenly ramble. What a complete and utter embarrassment of a concept.

It's like there was a barn of perfectly good ideas infront of them, and all they had to do is aim at it and throw a dart for a better career concept. And standing 5 feet away they still managed to completely miss the entire fucking barn. It's downright impressive how horrible that game mode is.

Why did my madden 22 trial run out when I wasnt playing

    Posted: 12 Aug 2021 10:12 PM PDT

I got the madden 22 trial and instantly played fotf and loved it. But I went to play with friends on something else and MADE SURE to quit app. I come back on and the number of hours remaining was lower than how much I played. I play for like an hour or two more and go play with more friends. Then come back to find my minutes ran out. I played 2 hours, then 1, than about 30 minutes. That obviously doesnt equal 10 hours so if someone can help me I would appreciate it.

Things I would like to see in the future of franchise mode

    Posted: 13 Aug 2021 01:25 AM PDT

Obviously, EA has been stripping Franchise Mode down to the absolute barebones minimum for years. With this year's new features such as coaching staff and scouting updates coming in September, there are more things I would like to see in the game in the future. This is a list of some of the things I feel would make the game much more immersive and realistic considering it's supposed to be a "simulation football" game.

Stat Tracking: I know they have updated this a little in 21 and probably did a little more in 22, but what would make it that much better is being able to see your league's, history of important stats. This may just be me but if I play 20-30 years into a franchise, I want to be able to look back and see the evolution of my league. It would be awesome to be able to look at past passing leaders for certain years, rushing leaders, Etc. It would make it easier to look back on the most dominant players of the league and when they eventually fell off.

Free Agency: The free agency system is so boring. Players have no personality, no wants, no needs. It's simply just dish out the most money to get the best players while in reality there is so much more that goes into where a player chooses to sign a contract.

CPU Trades: For me at least, I have never seen a CPU-CPU trade. (at least not that I can remember) Not on draft day nor during the regular season. Trades aren't a constant thing but they do happen. This also goes with player personalities. Players have wants and needs, teams have wants and needs. None of this is represented in the game as of right now. Not that this happens often but a CPU team can have a 95 OVR, an 86 OVR which obviously has good trade value, and a low 70s on the same roster but they just keep the 86 and let him waste away his career on the bench while both parties can benefit from a trade. A team whose franchise QB gets injured and manages to get the top pick as a result would at least consider trading that pick back since they don't need the #1 pick in the draft.

Dynamic Injuries: This one is probably never going to happen. But wouldn't it be nice if the game kept track of injuries? I mean injuries are kind of a big deal, they can change the course of a player's career and affect future contracts he may receive. The current injury system is pretty much just *player gets hurt, player misses a few weeks, player is completely fine afterward*. I would like to see a system that not only kept track of injuries but affected stats after recovery. For example, if a WR has say 97 SPD and 99 ACC but breaks his leg, those stats should be affected by the injury. The system should also take age into account. If Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers suffers a serious injury, there's a decent chance it might be career-ending depending on what exactly it is.

These are just a few features that I would love to see in future games. The community has EA in a tough situation with the backlash of Madden 21. We got some of what we want but we shouldn't stop there. We should be putting more pressure on them to make a good game. If you made it this far, thank you :)

Franchise mode keeps turning off my Xbox Series X

    Posted: 12 Aug 2021 10:01 PM PDT

So in franchise mode I'm trying to sign free agents and it'll completely freeze and then shut off my series x.

I reload it all and then try to make trades, same thing and Xbox turns off.

This has happened about 7 times now. Has anyone else had this issue and have a solution or should I wait till the day one patch and hope for the best?
