    So, my roommate and I both play a lot of madden and started an online franchise together. He's playing Seahawks, I chose Rams. The first game, he won 63-49.

    Now we're playing again later in the season, and before half time I've put on a fuckin show and was beating him 35-7. He's about to score on his drive and tries to scramble with Wilson, I chase his ass down with an active x-factor Aaron Donald and hit stick his ass so hard that ball flies out and I recover it for a touch down. He proceeds to rage quit and says we'll finish the game when he cools down.

    My question is will my ass-whooping be saved or when we resume will it restart the game? I really don't want to restart this match ):

    New to Madden 20 and pretty frustrated... am I missing something?

    I've been out of it for a long time. As in the last Madden I played was 2004 with Vick on the cover. I wasn't fantastic but I was decent. Could usually win games but not usually blowouts.

    I got an itching for it again so I got 20 about a week ago. I've had a few days off in a row so I've put some decent time into it, and that's where the frustration comes in. I started out in rookie difficulty since I'm way out of practice. After just a few games I was blowing the CPU out. Usually putting up 30-40 points and shutting them out. So I decided to go up to pro. Ho boy.

    Mind you, it's pro. Not all pro. Not all Madden. And I'm getting my ass beat. On the off chance I actually get a pass into my receiver's hands, they usually drop it. I counted 10 drops last game. I can't run worth a shit. If I get 3-4 yards on one carry I'm flying. Usually it's a loss or 1-2 yard gain. I went 3 games in a row in my franchise without even scoring a touchdown.

    I just want a realistic difficulty. I'm ok with losing, but not 6-3 or 3-0 with less than 100 yards of total offense. But then again I don't want to throw for 500 yards and 5 TDs in a 42-0 blowout either.

    So am I missing something? Like apparently I'm just bad at the game? I don't even know how some of you go all pro or all Madden. I can't even imagine. I just now discovered the tutorial with the drills, so hopefully when I finish them I'll get better, but damn, the big jump in difficulty with just one step up is really turning me off.
